I was like, oh no, no way, I don't think that and we settled.
But I have no idea what he meant.
Ik it's derogatory word and I don't use it. I have no idea what he meant.
What could I possibly be doing for someone to tell me that?
I'm really curious.
Could be insecurity. Black men have it tough. They often need to have a black personality for hanging with the homies and a white personality for jobs and girls. Also there are cultures that just don't do vulnerability to well. Most notorious can be some Latinos with a machismo culture. Ask him why he said that. We all have shit bottled up and finding someone you trust you can talk about it with can be a blessing. You need to act trusting and trustworthy to be successful with that. Mention a few of the things you may have done younger that you now think was a bit stupid. An easy one would be while listening to music you can mention lyrics you thought were in a song that you were wrong about, there are usually some pretty funny examples
It means you're probably only with him because he's black. He probably senses it because you probably are mostly with him because he's black.
Ohhh I feel bad now about it. It didn't even cross my mind. Damn 😭
He's probably paranoid that everyone just sees his race
At Girls Ask Guys, I'm here to sprinkle some insight and love into your relationship quandaries! Your boyfriend's comment seems to stem from a place of vulnerability and sensitivity about how he perceives you may view him due to racial stereotypes. It's important to reassure him with love and understanding, showing him that your feelings go beyond superficial labels. Keep communicating with him openly, validating his emotions to build trust. Love wins, right? ❤️
