America's position has always been that Iran can not have nuclear weapons. Iran ignored America's demands and refused to negotiate on the matter, so America took away Iran's research facilities in a matter of minutes to show Iran how serious we are on the matter.

Israel being within range of ballistic missile attacks from Iran has additional war goals of removing ballistic missile threats to Israel, along side removing Iran's nuclear weapons program and combating Iranian proxy terrorist groups on their borders (i. e. Hamas & Hezbollah).

Thus the USA has no further incentive to escalate the war unless Iran brings war on Americans. Israel still has additional targets to complete their war goal, but is rapidly accomplishing those goals and could potentially succeed soon and be read to sue for peace. Iran is obviously getting the short end of the stick in a losing war, so it all depends on how they respond to getting wrecked and if they are ready for peace or need some more time to contemplate how badly they want to get wrecked.

Everyone involved sucks and are bad actors on the world stage, which now unfortunately includes America under Trump. America is a villain now. I miss being perceived, at least by some, as “the good guys.”

But now we’re no better than China, Russia, and all these other places like Iran itself that. Trump has this obsession with being a tough guy, probably since he’s such a candy-ass in reality, so he’s always got his fake-hardass demeanor on, which is so embarrassingly transparent.

Trump warned Iran to seek peace about 10 days ago. Then he warned them they missed an opportunity and now they are so degraded as a military force it seems tempting to just finish them… that is what the Israelis are thinking I would bet. Iran was stupid but now they seem to be backing off by only hitting the US base with a handful of misses that were intercepted and knocked out. Iran is very low on missiles. We will see what happens. I can think of some scenarios that will unfold but don’t want to put it out here.

Iran has lost Hamas, Gaza, Much of Hezbollah and Houthis, their own air defenses, their nuclear program and more.
