President Trump played the cards he was dealt. He could have kicked the can down the road like the previous administration did but sooner or later Iran would send a nuke to Time Square.
He was brave to do what needed to be done. He tried everything he could to avoid it but Iran refused. Now they have to pay the price.

@DryGermanGuy The assets were unfrozen and Iran used it to build a nuke. Trump found out that they were violating the treaty and got the US out of it.

So it was Obama that got "that shitty nuclear deal" which reduced Irans uranium storage by 99.9% (give or take) and prevented them from enriching it which was enforced continuously by random inspections.

But thank God that Trump came into office to revoke that deal so that Iran could *reads news* double their nuclear stockpiles and begin enriching uranium towards weapons grade.

@Syntosi Iran did not honor the arrangement and Obama never did anything about it. He was afraid he might have to fight.
He went on an apology tour. That was the highlight of his presidency.
biden overturned Trumps action to get out of it and so Iran was able to resume building a nuke. Trump is fixing this once and for all.
Democrats are pissed because they know they would never have the guts to actually do something.
Americans are behind Trump on that issue. Almost 80% think thst Iran should never have a nuke.

Even if you want to argue that Iran did not honor the nuclear deal, which there is no evidence for, how does that change anything? Trump still made the situation worse by repealing the deal and as a result he has to clean up his own mess today. He dealt his own cards.

@Syntosi the treasury is 88 billion do l ars richer due to his tariff policy, the government has 260,000 fewer employees and 150 billion has been cut from thr budget due to DOGE, the military has met its recruitment goals due to Trumps anti DEI policies, We have a 1 5 million fewer illegal aliens due to Trumps immigration policies. We have the most secure border in history die to Trumps border security policies, Iran's nuclear weapon program has been set back years. The stock market is reaching record highs and inflation is reaching record lows.

First of all, that is the total income including already existing tariffs. Secondly, that comes at the cost of reduced trade and higher costs for consumers. But I guess I should congratulate Trump on making Republicans support tax increases even if they are obfuscated.

As for government employees, around 60 000 has been fired if I remember correctly. Most have been rehired and many have been replaced by contractors who cost more and has lower competence.

As for DOGE cuts, I think its like zero at this point since any actual cuts they have made is overshadowed by the costs that they have inadvertently accrued such as having to replace fired workers with expensive 3rd party contractors.

As for people joining the military, you do realize that is a sign of bad times right? The military represents job security, medical benefits etc.. In other words, when people are afraid, they sign up. So sure, lets attribute this to Trump. He is truly of great credit to the military industrial complex.

As for deporting illegal immigrants, I think he is still trailing behind Obama. Everything I have heard of Trumps attempts at deportation so far is that they are struggling with the logistics of it. They WANT to deport more, but they can't because they are too crap at administration to actually accomplish it. Personally, I find that very funny. Also, its not 15 million. That is one of their stated goals but they are not even close to that yet.

The border is actually less secure since Trump has removed personnel from the border to participate in other activities around USA.

Iran's nuclear weapons program has at most been impeded by a few months. However, they were most likely not developing a nuke in the first place because if they had, then they would have already produced one. They are not difficult to make and they have had many years to do it. The fact that they were still "in the process" means that they paused their project, most likely to comply with international pressure. I personally think its unlikely that they will continue to wait until they make a nuke now so thank you Trump for resuming Irans nuclear weapons program.

As for the stock market and economy, its been struggling and we are currently looking at a recession sometimes in the coming months. Investments into manufacturing has also stalled pretty much completely while businesses waits to see what happens with trade and tariffs going forward.

As for inflation, on the surface it is looking good but it is probably just hiding the fact that consumer confidence index is plummeting and people are just not buying stuff anymore.
