President Biden opened the southern border and invited illegal aliens to stream in from all corners of the globe, He promised free food and lodging and plenty of other goodies all at taxpayer expense. In 2023 the federal government spent over 400 billion dollars supporting these freeloaders. Cities and states have had to pay billions on top of that. Nobody knows how many there are or where they have come from. Nobody knows what diseases they have brought back into the country or how many are members of terrorist cells. What we do know is that thousands are gang members and convicted criminals and also patients in mental hospitals.
President Trump ran on the issues that negatively effect the lives of most Americans. At the top of the list is illegal immigration. The majority are pleased that President Trump has secured the border despite his predecessor claiming that it would take congress to do it. We did not need congress, we just needed a new president.
With the passing of the Big Beautiful Bill many additional ICE and Border Patrol agents will be hired along with additional funding for mass deportations. The self deportation program has also shown some success with almost a million leaving the country on their own.
It is estimated that there are between 15 and 20 million of these invaders in this country. Democrats are fighting hard to keep them all in the country. They have alienated many groups such as labor unions, Hispanics and black males that have traditionally voted for them so they need to import a new group of voters and bribe them with a free ride.

I disagree.

Jailing and deportation are not the worst.

Those are the lucky ones. You are fed in jail (well, not as much in proud boy wannabe ICE jail I hear, but fed) and other countries have better prospects at that point.

Starvation, destitution and hospitals with shuttered doors IN THE USA in 2025 will be.

When all of this is over I wouldn't be surprised to think back and agree bringing back burning at the stake had been a great idea. So much more satisfying than lining them up and shooting them in the face.

If you begin your journey in a new country by comitting a crime obviously that won't work long term. If they are indeed catching people in the cross fire like some cases in your article (Most aren't known) they need to fix that, pay remedies and do a better job of vetting. Like your article suggests there's recognizable gang tattoo's and if people have similar ones they are at risk.

Its two distinct scenarios though, and i'm aware of these. One is where they are correctly doing their job in getting illegals out of the country which was voted for. The other they are tackling gangs which was also voted for. The part that can be a problem if ongoing is if the people doing the anti gang stuff are bad at tattoo recognition. Then you don't have a policy issue but you do have a big competency issue that needs to be fixed. The other side of that coin is that a lot of these will be gang members but are merely denying it, that part makes it tricky to enforce.
