Yesterday, Trump was booed by fans after hijacking the winning teams photo. The club level world tournament was seen by many as chance to see if the USA was a safe place to host next year's World Cup.
Although the tournament went pretty much unnoticed, getting as much attention as a under 12s girls school game it seemed to go OK until Trump turned up.
So has Trumps disgraceful behaviour ruined things?

Nah, don't cancel it, just give the games schedued to be played in US venues to Canada and Mexico. Let's be honest, I don't like being here right now and I can't imagine ANYone wanting to fly in or out of here through CBP, and I do mean ANYbody, there are horror stories of all sorts of folks being detained for things like having a meme of JD Vance on their phone... US doesn't deserve this global stage right now, and the athletes don't deserve to have a 4 year window cut out of their relatively short careers.

Don't cancel I love football, though American should use the same kind of camera we use in France cause the American camera have a pretty weird angle, I feel like it's very far away from the player as opposed to French angle camera which is nicer

No, there were countries with far worse governments, laws and conditions that were allowed to host. And Mexico is co-hosting and it's full of cartels and locals are talking about "killing gringoes".

It really explains how most people view Trump. Most of his speeches are in areas where handpicked supporters are there so he feels liked. However, every time he is in a place where there are people who are not all his supporters, the general feelings towards him are negative.
And you Europeans wonder why so many people in the US are tired of 80 years of protecting such idiots (including 35 after the Berlin Wall came down).
When is the last time England hosted a World Cup? 1966? Not sure I’d be confident they could restrain their grooming gangs long enough to host again.

A group of 12 of us were planning on going to the US next summer for the World Cup but we've heard multiple stories of German tourists being locked up for no good reason so we are going to skip it now. They don't seem to want tourism in their country anymore.
I doubt they could cancel it now they'd have to prepare to host it somewhere else and that would be very hard work. I just think it's funny that he thought they would pretend to like him like American sports teams have to do.

We have so little soccer culture that we host every Gold Cup and the 1994 World Cup still has the highest attendence on record. And name me another country that would be capable of hosting two major sports tournaments at the same time.

I don't know the second sport you mentioned, but you're terrible at handball too, but even in Europe it's not a most popular sport. Even if it is a well-known sport
