Although the tournament went pretty much unnoticed, getting as much attention as a under 12s girls school game it seemed to go OK until Trump turned up.
So has Trumps disgraceful behaviour ruined things?

Nah, don't cancel it, just give the games schedued to be played in US venues to Canada and Mexico. Let's be honest, I don't like being here right now and I can't imagine ANYone wanting to fly in or out of here through CBP, and I do mean ANYbody, there are horror stories of all sorts of folks being detained for things like having a meme of JD Vance on their phone... US doesn't deserve this global stage right now, and the athletes don't deserve to have a 4 year window cut out of their relatively short careers.
I don't know if football fans are that smart but maybe they were booing him for his recent 'Let's just forget about that guy Epstein what does it matter anyway?' sentiments.
Trump's at the lowest he's ever been in terms of public perception to even Maga not being able to defend this so him turning up wasn't going to get much applause. Trump trying to grasp onto something for his ego I guess lol
Don't cancel I love football, though American should use the same kind of camera we use in France cause the American camera have a pretty weird angle, I feel like it's very far away from the player as opposed to French angle camera which is nicer
Surprised he didn't lock down and deport the entire stadium. They would have finally hit deportation totals they have been striving for.

''Club level'' looks just right for that man.
Am I wrong, or does he walk like an ape? Grins like a moron?
Why do I now think of the Olympic Games in 1936?
Is FOOTBALL a thing that 'Americans' truly understand?
So many questions - so few answers.
But then... South Africa, 2010, also gave a once doubtful country a chance...
And who knows: Trump might be shot dead already before that FOOTBALL thing begins.
I saw that😂 He got booed as soon as he stepped onto the field, though some people cheered too.
No, there were countries with far worse governments, laws and conditions that were allowed to host. And Mexico is co-hosting and it's full of cartels and locals are talking about "killing gringoes".
About that, I recently found out that it was actually the Brits who first used the term "Soccer"
It's just shows you how trump is.. he doesn't care about anyone anything but him self he wants the biggest head lines he can get to say I did this I did that. He us a Circus
act. Big head lines people will remember. When your fake and just take because you didn't do what you Saud you were going to do because you can't. Because government is fake because a our government sold out to big dinners and they run everything now. So get the bug head lines to look important. Lol
It really explains how most people view Trump. Most of his speeches are in areas where handpicked supporters are there so he feels liked. However, every time he is in a place where there are people who are not all his supporters, the general feelings towards him are negative.
And you Europeans wonder why so many people in the US are tired of 80 years of protecting such idiots (including 35 after the Berlin Wall came down).
When is the last time England hosted a World Cup? 1966? Not sure I’d be confident they could restrain their grooming gangs long enough to host again.
A group of 12 of us were planning on going to the US next summer for the World Cup but we've heard multiple stories of German tourists being locked up for no good reason so we are going to skip it now. They don't seem to want tourism in their country anymore.
I doubt they could cancel it now they'd have to prepare to host it somewhere else and that would be very hard work. I just think it's funny that he thought they would pretend to like him like American sports teams have to do.
Just because an orangutan with a sharpie signs something doesn't mean we all comply... its still the Gulf of Mexico &... actually I don't mind calling it football, but then we need to change Football to either "American Rules Rugby" or "Rugby for Pussies"
The team photoshopped Trump out of the photo they released. As to the bonus question, if we call soccer football, what will we call football?
American football? Same as the rest of the world.
I did. Not watch it and don't know enough about it. If I was to hazard a guess there are plenty of foreigners that do not like President Trump and they were in attendance. Every other time he attended a sporting event there is nothing but cheers
Organising a football competition in the USA is an absolute aberration.
Why?
We have so little soccer culture that we host every Gold Cup and the 1994 World Cup still has the highest attendence on record. And name me another country that would be capable of hosting two major sports tournaments at the same time.
But Canada I agree. They completely embarassed themselves. They couldn't even put 3 cities😂
Because South America is right next to the USA. And I don't know what your sources are for your assertions. What's more, the Europeans who went to the US to see the Club World Cup said it was a disaster. And every time I've spoken to an Americans about football, it's been nothing short of clownish.
AI Overview

The 1994 FIFA World Cup, held in the United States, had the highest total attendance of any World Cup, with 3,587,538 spectators. The average attendance per match was also a record at the time, with 68,991 people attending each of the 52 games.
By the way, you should check the TRAVEL section of this site ☺️
Actually NO. US stadiums have a higher capacity. There are college stadiums that can hold 100,000 people
That was in 1950 and that's just one stadium.
It's extremely popular amongst Hispanic-Americans, but many Whites follow it too, especially students.
Do you live in America, or do I? 😂
Speaking of where we live, look in the "TRAVEL" section of GAG
I don't see how football in the USA is popular. There were matches for the Club World Cup that were almost empty.
What's more, American football clubs are bad and I'm not even talking about the national team.
Let the Americans organise basketball, baseball, etc competitions but not football.
Ok I'll go and have a look
I know. But why come to the US if they can watch those clubs at home?
But in terms of international matches, is we have people from all over the world here. That's why the US has monopolized the Gold Cup. The Latino games are always full. Mexico-America had more Mexican fans in the stadium.
I think the US has the best sports infrastructure and sports culture in general, in the world
So handball and netball too? Okay 😂
I was just being sarcastic 'cuz you implied that we have the best sports infrastructure in everything but football😂
I forgot it was Bastille Day. I am so sorry. Happy belated Bastille Day 😂
Are you kidding me? FIFA is all about profits, so they will never cancel the WC.
I'm surprised he even bothered, who gives a shit about sportsball.
It's a small bit perfect example that he only cares about himself
But*
FIFA should cancel the event here and move it to Canada.
Trump puts a shitstain on anything and everything he goes near.
so basically every time trump is booed, something has to get cancelled? that's dumb.
It's ALWAYS gotta be about him.
Trump is an international embarrassment
Couldn't care less about fifa
I SURELY HOPE SO !!!
Oh Donald, poor lost soul
he is hilarious
