I'm not sure about Biden specifically but, little Donnie has been desperate for respect his entire life. First from his father. That never happened. He was a failure academically. So he cheated and bullied his way through school. Then in business he once again begged for daddy's approval and his father treated him like an impotent loser. So he tried to cheat, lie, and bully his way in business too. Again he failed on a regular basis. He was / is desperate for recognition from the Manhattan wealthy elite. But they have always viewed him as a buffoon and a toxic loser. He never got the invitation to the club he wanted to belong to.

It eats him alive every waking moment. Obama really gutted tRump. He probably does envy Biden too. tRump is nothing but hate and resentment for everyone who got the success and recognition he craved but was never worthy of. tRump knows he's a piece of shit. It kills him. But all he has to work with is a severely damaged personality. Knowing he's unworthy of respect eats him alive. So he just digs the hole deeper out of spite. Like a child.
