Although recognising Palestine as a state is the right thing to do and is 77 years delayed, it does not equate to completely subduing the genocidal most morally fucked up state of Israel.

What France is doing is escaping the hard route of big sanctions on Israel and instead playing the soft diplomatic consolation card of recognising Palestine as a state, which is still a couple months away.

This is just theatrics and dodging the criticism from the masses, like throwing a bone to the solidarity of Palestine. Doing just enough, the bare minimum, to look good in the eyes of the world to fool the solidarity.

Because, even if Palestine became a full sovereign state, there is no guarantee that the genocidal state of Israel would not keep killing and stealing land. Just look at Lebanon and Syria. Sovereign states and yet losing more and more land to the Zionist pigs.

France is a coloniser just like Israel and others from EU, it is not a state without greed and racism at the heart of it.

When people are stoned it's their neighbors that do it under state supervision. They force the people to partake in the violence or be punished.

This is also part of why Isreal is blocking aid to Gaza. The moment it's delivered HAMAS steals it from the refugees who need it at gun point and use it to control the people and force them to do their will or they will starve them and their family's to death. None of the aid is going to the people who actually need it most of the time it's just a roundabout form of support for HAMAS.
