To be logical or to be emotional. Which one is better? Which one is worse? Which one are you? And why?

If you want to be successful then appealing to peoples emotions and having the emotional resilience to deal with a lot of people problems is more important than actually solving the logical problems. Our world is geared towards emotions over truth, emotions over competence etc. It does catch up with people eventually if they don't have the logical thinking to solve certain problems but they've already gone way further than other people ever had the chance to go. I think emotional resilience is jst a good skill to have even if you don't care about success. Thinking logically also has benefits but I don't think it's valued on the same level by most people.

Emotions compliment reason and logic.

You cannot run your entire life and a society on emotion. Emotions are too fickle and changing. Laws and society have to run what is best overall. Laws and order and justice.

Emotions lead to men on girls sports teams. Emotions lead to getting rid of borders and letting millions of foreigners in.

Logic says no. This is not good for society and cause harm overall. Emotion cannot be the leader. You have to be able to hurt feelings by saying NO.

I've met people worshiping reason, it makes them harmful for others, because they don't speak empathy.

I've met people going all in for emotions, they're time bombs until the next breakdown, because they don't speak reason.

It’s best to be BOTH! Emotions without logic is irrational. Logic without emotions is psychopathy. Both should coexist both are extremely important. Emotions should be logic based.

If you feel angry, or sad, or happy for absolutely no reason at all. Most the time there is a reason behind it.

If i had to choose only one, obviously logic is superior. We’re literally seeing half the US operating entirely on emotion right now. It’s flat out ignorance and pure chaos. Left unchecked, the end result is inevitably anarchy.

Most definitely logical. 2 of my partners have even told me I don't show any emotion (which I don't think is true). But I definitely prioritize logic over emotions. I actually think that emotions are a part of choosing logically.

Every decision we make in life requires emotions. They aren't separate.

Being emotional is worse. If your controlled by your emotions and feelings you are most likely Politically left but if you value logic you are most likely politically right. All though there are logical people who hate were logic has taken them and refuse to except it.

That's a tough question! Judging by Mr. Spock full logical is like the saying, "all work and no play makes Spock a dull boy!" But full emotion without a check would be worse i think. You'd be a raving, hysterical lunatic driven crazy from being around yourself all alone because nobody would be able to put up with you.

I'd have to say logical is better, easier to use and work with.

I rarely use or have emotions anymore. I've been through the ringer too many times I guess. Emotions are meant to be pushed way down and forgotten.

I'm mostly logical. What do you mean why? It's just my proclivity. I'm not emotionless. It's just in my nature to filter most things through logic and reasoning.

This is not to say emotions are not useful. But emotions are chaos. And a person with little logic and reason is chaotic, dare I say possibly toxic person.
