Emotional or Emotionless? Which one is better and why?

There was a guy with a tumor in his brain. He was the CEO of some company. He did an experimental surgery to remove the part of his brain where the tumor was, the amygdala. And after he went through with it, he wasn't able to make a single decision. He was basically mentally paralyzed. Every decision we make in life has an emotion behind it, whether we deny it or not. We are not robots that just process input and give output. Emotions are important. How we manage those emotions is important though.

By being emotional, you can convey to your loved ones that you care about them. It's most definitely better than being emotionless.

There is obvious extremes but being emotionless I think is worse when someone has just gone completely numb. They don’t feel happy, they don’t feel sad, they don’t feel angry, they don’t feel remorse, they really just don’t feel anything anymore. That’s what happens to people who become psychopaths.

If I were emotionless then I wouldn't have had the urge to do stupid stuff and put all my focus on studies and secure a seat in ivy league or Oxford or Cambridge. But then I would have been a more boring and out of touch person.

Defo emotionless.. I used to have waaaay too many emotions and was super sensitive before but now after getting pills to numb me out I feel so much better and can handle dealing with other people now.

Emotional. I've felt emotionless before, for years, and it was utterly miserable. At least if you’re emotional you can get it under control and manage it.

Regulated emotions are what it should be. Not expressing unless it's necessary. Deal with it internally, through experience, consider, contemplate then move on.

Being somewhere in the middle is better because All the extremes are bad. The balance is always good but if you want me pick one of these extremes I'd choose emotional because an emotionless person can be very dangerous.
