Is anyone else having trouble sleeping over What happened to Charlie Kirk?

Yes. I’m almost irrationally angry. The last time i was this angry was 9/11/2001. I don’t know if that’s just in my head because of the timing of everything. I was irrationally angry about that too. I’m not from New York. I don’t know anyone who was hurt or killed there or at the Pentagon, or aboard UA93. But i was angry enough to want to hurt people for a long time after that.
I didn’t know Kirk personally. I’m not a follower or a member of his foundation. I definitely don’t vote the way he did. But he was obviously a good man. People came from all over the country to attack him and his beliefs. Yet he was always respectful, knowledgeable, and eloquent in his reasoning. He never resorted to strawman nonsense or ad hominem attacks, even when his dissenters did. He was kind, but not weak. He was mindful with a purpose. He walked the talk, and that’s rare for people these days. Even rarer for people with a mind for politics. He never advocated for violence, contrary to the lies being perpetuated by the media and twisted individuals everywhere. Quite the opposite, he has been documented saying that he engaged in civil discourse deliberately to counter violence. He believed violence starts when people stop communicating. So he refused to stop communicating.
I’m more than a little ashamed to admit that i can think of dozens of politicians on both sides of the aisle that i wouldn’t bat an eye to find out they were killed for how they conducted themselves. Most politicians are scum. That’s just an unfortunate reality that we’ve created for ourselves. Charlie Kirk was a good man who a positive and meaningful difference, more than most. I saw a post today in which someone likened him to some of the great civil and political figures of all time, like JFK & MLK jr. It just made sense to me.
I’m sad. I’m angry. I want people to be punished for contributing to this tragedy. I want people to be punished for celebrating it. I want to wake up tomorrow to learn this is all just a f*cked up dream.

Nope, being well aware of history and how socialists behaved in 1920s Weimar Republic to bring forth the rise of Adolf Hitler, political assassinations are expected from the left wing socialists. This isn't the first political assassination they have carried out, nor will it be the last.

Not that I am lauding Kirk's assassination, but I am old and cold having lived through assassinations and attempted assassinations all my life. But, with this one, I am actually a bit sorry to say this but his death was evolution in action.
