Lol. so if April 2025 (Trump tariff) was the latest of if the year 2020 was the latest (due to coronavirus worldwide lockdowns lol that year). Lol. Anyways. I still remember the 2008 global financial crisis. Thing.

2020 was the last recession. April 2025 was volatility caused by the administrations economic policy. The Fed made a very unusual move this week by lowering interest rates when the markets are at all time highs, inflation is high, and unemployment is low. Those indicators have historically triggered an interest rate hike however, the rest of the indicators point to the economy coming to a screeching halt by the end of the year or in the first quarter of next year. P/E ratios in the stock market are very high and even companies that post poor earnings are seeing their stocks rise after earning reports. Institutional investors have been taking money out of the US stock markets for the last 6+ months and moving it overseas meaning that the market is propped up by retail investors who are more prone to panic when they see a dip. I'm seeing a lot more stocks being shorted right now by institutional investors so we are probably closing in on a bear market.

@BonzoInBitburg I'm amazed slightly the market in dow Jones finished Friday up 💚🍏 📈? Isn't September or October always historically a dreaded month and less so march? You know, historically it's like 📉📉📉📉 lol the great recession, the prior great depression - and then bounces back eventually lol 📈📈📈📈

Sept and Oct are historically down months. The market seems to be quite overvalued currently and why large investors like Berkshire Hathaway have been selling off this year and have excess cash right now waiting for some opportunities. A correction seems right around the corner because so much money is leaving the US markets and going to Brazil, South Korea, China and Germany but Average Joe's are coming in and driving the market up. We're definitely in a bubble.

The market was up this morning until Powell spoke. Tech stocks down the most today because that's where most individual investors so that's the most volatile and those stocks are massively overpriced. Financials were down a little and everything else was up. I wouldn't be surprised with another record high at some point this week. We're in a bubble and the bubble will keep growing until it pops.

Because I quite, personal opinions only no financial advice, I just liked how the fictional characters in the movie Fun With Dick and Jane (2005) itself a remake, there's a scene where Jim's character and Alec's character boarding a helicopter rooftop mention how "words like these things happen, it's capitalism, some companies have to go under, so other companies can grow bigger and stronger" and then Alec's character who's like a fictional CEO boards a helicopter. Lol. 🚁 Basically it's a parody of the Enron company, according to Wikipedia summaries of the film and or IMDB. Remember George W. Bush signed many stimulus policies in 2008 in his final year in office, so I just feel like and then the year prior the smartphone had come out, and I just feel like whenever if ever whenever in my lifetime the next recession is or next big stock market crash is, it's another opportunity for major societal progress again and of course yes for those who ironically already had savings, it may be a stock buying opportunity for some. As they say, no one can time markets

I went bankrupt after the 2008 global financial crisis but made out very well during Covid. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to a stock market crash. As long as the market is moving in any direction I can make money. I'm fine with it booming up too but stocks go down a lot faster than they go up so you can make money quick in a crash. It's too flat right now for my liking.
