Lately I’ve been noticing in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination it seems the online left doesn’t just disagree with people — they outright revel in destroying them. Whether it’s cheering when someone dies, celebrating when someone gets “canceled,” or dogpiling anyone who disagrees, it feels less like debate and more like blood sport.
I wrote more on this in a recent Substack piece where I explain the mechanisms of how the left radicalizes Gen Z online. But I’m curious what you all think; is this just a fringe online phenomenon, or is it baked into the modern left at this point?
Don’t believe what you read online. They’re already discovering “left-wing” bots claiming they’re so disgusted by fellow lefties, etc….. exact same comment, different accounts.
Remember: only one person shot Charlie Kirk. It’s still unclear if they’re far left or alt-right, or just something you can’t cleanly define. They’re desperately trying to make him out to be far left, despite there not being any hard evidence of it.
But here’s the thing: It doesn’t matter. It’s one guy. Even if he’s the farthest left lefty who ever left-ed, his actions say NOTHING of liberals at large. Political factions aren’t responsible for the actions of one person, and it’s a kindergarten-brained mentality to think they are.
I watched like 1,600 right wingers charge the capital, a registered Republican tried to assassinate Trump last year…I don't tie that to ALL right wingers, that would be ridiculous to do. The insurrectionists were crazy assholes (who got conned by their wildly corrupt leader), the shooter was a lunatic regardless of party affiliation. You deal with those people as they show up individually.
It’s very incendiary and socially irresponsible to make this a political issue that just paints an entire group as “violent.” Trump was leading a charge against the left in a fucking Oval Office address, BEFORE anyone was in custody. That is fucking CRAZY, and unbecoming of a world leader.

No one can control randos on the internet, we’ve been shown that bots are out there, so you can’t even trust that what you’re reading is a real person’s words, and not for nothing, there’s a whole litany of evidence of rando right wingers saying wildly uncouth things about people on the left who have been harmed or killed.

As usual, the left is lying about the nature of this case. Same as they did and still are lying about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Then they publicly celebrate it and openly call for more violence against anyone and everyone who disagrees with them, and we’re supposed to believe that this isn’t what they intended all along? They are completely unhinged with hate and ignorance. They want nothing less than all out war.

No doubt that some politicians are doing everything possible to create very opposing camps, and the ceremony around the death of Mr Kirk, with all its sentimental inflated show is in this field very explicit.
In a civilized society, no one should be shot for the symbol they represent or their expressed opinions, but when this nevertheless happens, it does not mean the victim was a hero or a saint in whatever field.
This is not about left or right wing stuff, but about big egos and dangerous ambitions.

If Israel laid down her arms, there would be no Israel". Neither of those statements were true then, and certainly not now.
If P-2025 were gone and the authoritarian regime in place now were gone, the left wouldn't be telling you "how to live", but rather to "live and let live" and they'd enact laws to try and allow that. The "right" enacts laws to prevent that and dictate how your world should be. So look at their legislation, because that's where it all happens, and tell me again "who's out for blood"?

Look, how you personally wish to identify is only relevant to the comment of "is the left out for blood" to the point that you have got it completely reversed. This is not surprising, because that's what the current right-wing, P-2025 arsenal does. I'm not concerned about hashing out definitions of NeoCons, Paleo vs "standard" Libertarians and where you fit in the capitalist realm and individual differences on personal property rights vs government, etc, etc, ad naseum.
The point here is simple, which is that virtually every right-wing accusation turns out to be a confession, no matter whether you're tired of that quote being thrown about as often as it is. No they are not. This is very similar if I were to same about extreme right. Extreme anything aren't the majority, but if you keep looking for that content when there are billions of people online, you will find the worst of humanity.
Being on the left doesn't mean the behavior the people you saw online portray. It's the same when extreme right hosts or online videos made fun of Pelosi's husband for being beaten to near death. People behave the exact same way on the right but that doesn't mean they're all out for blood.
So when people cheer the death of someone they can say they're on the left or the right but by definition of both of their true ideals, they aren't practicing what their beliefs are then.
For an example they are just bad people, and if a bad person that does and says bad things say they're a good person, that doesn't mean they're good. I don't believe what you see is the majority of the left and doesn't mean that's what the left is about.

Yes, all the hate speech has worked them up into a frenzy. I think that the murder of Charlie Kirk should be the line in the sand. Anymore attempts on conservatives will be met with force. They are not going to stop if there are no consequences.
I am coming to see that the Left attracts unhinged people and I mean that in a real way. I now separate Left from Liberal. The Left is nuts and have taken over the liberal sphere. All you have to do is look at their desire for gun control. They want law abiding gun owners disarmed because they only see guns as murder tools, because that is what they would use them for. Those against acts against private gun ownership see guns as defense tools.
