Poland is demographically screwed. Having your population pyramid go from 1.6 million in one age bracket and down to less than 1 million in the younger age brackets will mean that Poland is going to need every immigrant that they could get their hands on if they dont want to suffer a social collapse.

Britain alone for instance has a Polish population of 700,000 and 2 million poles in Germany. Young poles leave for about ten or more years working abroad as tradesmen and come home with money build a house or start a business and that's exactly what's happening and with the Polish economy booming there's going to less migration.

That pyramid looks not too far dissimilar from the UK one. Which is interesting given we have been 'culturally enriched' with an extra 10 million people, mostly from the third world, in the past 25 years.

Is that what is happening in the uk with supposed refugees coming in their hundreds of thousands to be set up in hotels with free meals, an allowance of money, PlayStations, free access to local leisure centres, free phones, free access to education, free clothes etc and the option to return home for a holiday all paid for by taxpayers.
And they never go home.

Because the government facilities where they are normally housed is already full and you refuse to build more so when refugees arrives and the UK government is forced to provide basic housing and necessities due to international laws they have to contract those out to private businesses... what sort of business specializes in having beds and providing food? Hotels.

You have to house and feed these people one way or another, it is just that by being a bad person and not investing in your own infrastructure it becomes a lot more expensive. Great job by the way.

Sure. The UK has a national debt of 96% of GDP. Unfortunately, the great 'government' money tree is shrivelling.

And these people need to be detained and deported. If I broke into any country, I would expect the same treatment. I wouldn't expect to be put up and fed at the expense of the government, I mean... taxpayer.

@Levin 96% is not actually that bad. Not ideal obviously but hardly an imminent problem. A country, especially a major power can easily sustain that. You are thinking about this as if its a person having a debt and not a country which is a silly misconception on your part.

Also, its very clear to me that you dont understand how refugees works and why you can't just "detain and deport them". Again, international laws.

If you could get the same luxury of the refugees wouldn't you come over. Also where are these people refugees from? France? They cross 5 safe countries to cross the channel into Britain. Why?

I would suspect Poland would rather take having a clean, safe, functioning, high trust society than the concern about being labelled as 'racist' (which happens no matter what you do, even if you give your land, soil and soul, anyway). I think Poles will take it, as will Hungarians.

Whenever I go there it is like bliss compared to the UK. And my mum has just returned from a trip there and says the same thing.

Poland has over one and half million Ukrainians, they are real war refugees. Of course it's racist because they are white and white people don't deserve to live according to left leaning extremists.

But the Ukrainians will return home when its over. Poland is also on Ukraine's boarder, they aren't padding through 3 or 4 safe countries to enter a country legally.
