nevertheless he did not inheret and open and unsecure border so his actions were hard to justify.

If by skipped a court date you mean they showed up for a court date and detained until they missed their court date, then I agree. They did do that, but not by choice. Also, if you're an asylum seeker, it takes time. You don't go through the typical immigration channels, because it's of a sensitive nature to get here. Being detained so you can be called illegal for no longer being here legally is not right in any way.
As for due process, it's American Law for all people. The last time I checked illegal immigrants are people. You don't have to like them, but they are humans, and therefore people. Our law says they get due process.

You show up to renew your visa or continue your asylum process and ICE details you. Your cis expires in detention. You're illegal. You miss your court date as an asylum seeker, you're illegal.
