Remember that Obama's Administration deported about 6 million illegals... that's when ICE's role became prominent.

We didn't have ICE prior to 9/11. So when we get Biden's mess cleaned up we might be able to go back to that. The problem is that with all these obstructionists it's going to take a couple decades to fix. Traitor Joe deserves the death penalty for what he has done to this country.

We had border control for over 100 years. There's nothing wrong with checking who enters the country.
But people still came and went and, for the most part, were not a problem. For the most part, they kept their heads down, obeyed the law, and found jobs as farm laborers, hotel maids, cooks, construction workers, pool cleaners, gardeners, private maids, day laborers, etc.
I hired day laborers on several occasions to help with moving and doing yard work. I had guys dig holes, build retaining walls, create pathways and stone steps in my garden, and stuff like that. They worked super hard and did quality work.
Illegal aliens in this country were rarely a problem and were actually a benefit to the economy.

In around 2018, organized caravans started arriving at the U. S. border. Those people didn't walk over 2000 miles from central and south America. Somebody paid for their food, clothing and transportation. It was a subversive plan to flood the U. S. with illegal intruders. Not all of them were here to find jobs. The onslaught may have been designed to conceal gang members, criminals and foreign agents.

But the Biden administration (2001-2025) made things 10x worse by not only allowing over 10 million aliens to cross the Mexican border, but giving them free housing, medical care, money, SS cards and driver's licenses. The administration stopped requiring ID to vote, which made it potentially possible for illegal aliens to cast ballots.

Democrat controlled regions defied the law by declaring sanctuary states and sanctuary cities where criminals could hide out.

This outraged the American people and made them favorable to Trump's national paramilitary force.

I can't imagine anyone opposing the arrest of gang members, drug dealers, rapists, and other criminals. But ICE came in with a mandate to arrest all illegal immigrants. They raided farms, businesses, churches and homes to arrest people who were not suspected of illegal activity. I think that is wrong for the reasons I described earlier. And it led to protests by human rights supporters.

I suspect that the shady groups who organized the caravans, along with Democrats and Republicans, worked together to create the circumstances that led to terror, divisiveness, instability and, ultimately, increased police state power. It fits with the NWO agenda to increase surveillance of all people, weaken U. S. constitutional protections, and usher in authoritarianism. After all, they used covid and climate change to the same ends.

So what are we supposed to do have thought police and arrest people before the crime happened?

There was never an open border. There is billions, 1,000,000,000s of industrial traveling itineraries going on. 1% scraped together a flight to go to the land of opportunity and figure it out from there.

The only way to make illegal immigration happen less is make legal immigration easier. The cartels have an entire with our racism as a foundation. The drug mules are white carrying products and the poor immigrants paying as much as they can short a plane ticket crating distraction for the white mules.

Actually until the US made it illegal to go back and forth migrant workers without papers were common until about the 1965s when there were criminal penalties instituted. So it predates to the early 1900's and was not commonly seen as a problem until 1965. In 1986 it became criminalized for employers. After 2011 ice was created from the patriot act. Out of fear of terrorist attacks. if any one Politician could be blamed it would be GW bush who decided he needed DHS to deal people coming across the border. It has only morphed into the US secret police force in the last 12 years. So false is the correct answer. the need for the department predates President Obama. The expansion came under the current presidents first term. Because fear generates compliance and money for the powers that be.

I think you need to research NAFDA. From what I understand it was an agreement construed to lower tariffs on the goods coming into the country from Canada and Mexico. The effect was to lower cost on the Mexican farmers which allowed them to stay in their native land and not cross the border. Investigate who was responsible for the dissolution of agreement. So, it appears the folks raising the most stink about illegal aliens are the same people that destroyed the agreement that enhanced their ability to stay home. Just sayin
