The Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who built a powerful social movement challenging the country’s authoritarian president and has been living in hiding since last year, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday. The Norwegian Nobel Committee praised “her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

GREAT CHOICE, ladies and gentlemen. Ms. Machado has A MILLION TIMES more courage for opposing authoritarian Maduro than the U. S. Congress, Supreme Court (the lesser courts have have roadblocked some of Trump's illegal actions) and especially the LAMESTREAM press combined.

The peace prize is often used as a political tool of influence rather than award. They are highlighting Venezuela and the struggle for democracy. Obama got his for being the first black us president though it was dressed up differently
