What would you do if you were homeless, had no friends or family and no car?

I would go to the library, get a membership at a 24hr planet fitness, buy a tent or sleeping bag, a prepaid phone, and raid, search for the food pantry in my city and search for the homeless shelter in my city.

In my country what you do is, you go to a homeles shelter and register a postal address. Then you go to the welfare office called "Jobcenter" and apply for "Bürgergeld" (literally translated "money for citizens"). Then you go look for a cheap apartment that fits within the appropriate housing cost specifications of the wellfare plan and if you do that for the very first time in your life, you can also apply for the first furnishing of your apartment as well. It's not gonna be lush and luxurious but it's definitely better than sleeping in the streets or in a tent. And all done and payed for by the government. You will be expected to cooperate in the jobcenters efforts to get you a job but other than that, you can survive on it. some people actually permanently live on that.

If I still had my stuff and money, I'd just buy another small house, or buy a decent tent and go where I know for a fact nobody really goes.

If I had absolutely nothing, then I'd find a safe space to turn into a base camp, and start breaking into houses a la chris knight style.

Find an isolated house out in the country and bump off the occupants. Once I've eaten all their food or people come snooping around I'd move on to the next house and do the same. There's tonnes of old people living alone whose houses you can take over.

A membership at planet fitness for a month is $15-$30 that's cheaper than a motel for a day
You can find somewhere else to sleep during the day if it's 24hrs
But you have somewhere you can go and they can't kick you out without the strict rules of the homeless shelter, you really need a p. o. box
