It is unlikely this case will ever get to trial. She's being accused of saving $18k in mortgage payments and she was only indicted because she got a $500M judgement against Trump. Obviously he's weaponized the DOJ. He likely botched both the James and Comey cases with his revenge tweets and both could be classified as unconstitutional selective prosecutions. If he could only stop himself from tweeting the quiet parts out loud, he might be able to get the things he wants done.

@BonzoInBitburg 18K is a lot of money to steal from a bank. It will be proven in court that it is all true by the paper trail she left behind. Trumps comments are immaterial as is any case that she had against Trump in the past.
H\The DOJ is not doing selective prosecutions. It is just that democrats have been above the law for so long that they all got careless.

Seems a little hypocritical to make a big deal about this alleged mortgage fraud and defend the president who has been convicted of mortgage fraud. If we were going to be consistent, we'd throw both of them in the slammer

The difference is that Trump did not engage in fraud. Fraud is when one party cheats another party out of something if value. All companies that did business with Trump testified they were paid in full and on time. They also said they would do business with him again. Not the behavior of somebody that was defrauded

Trump was literally found guilty on 34 counts of fraud just over a year ago. The fine was overturned on appeal but the conviction wasn't.

I'm self employed and the banks always fudge my numbers so that I get approved for loan. The bank didn't report this because they were involved, this was a witch hunt against James. The average penalty since 2013 if she's convicted is $6k.

Trump was convicted in a kangaroo court. if the banks fudge your numbers they are breaking the law. I have gotten a few mortgages and I could not get any bank to fudge anything for me so I could get a mortgage.
