Do you think Charlie Kirk’s assassination is considered more high profile than John F Kennedy now?

As of this year I would probably say yes he has received more media attention than John F Kennedy.

In many years or decades from now I assume John F Kennedy assassination would still probably get talked about more than Charlie Kirk.

John F Kennedy was the President. Being the president is definitely a more high profile position than what Charlie Kirk ever had.

LOL Oh my, girlfriend. WTF do you remember about JFK? Nothing, you weren't even a thought then. You just "think" CK's assassination is a bigger deal because you live on social media. It's not even close.

My parents remember JFK's assassination all too well. Everybody in their generation remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news that day in 1963. There was no social media. There was no internet. They heard it on the radio and news that night.

The nation and the world were in shock, and the whole WORLD mourned over JFK. He was beloved by world leaders and millions and millions of people everywhere. It was talked about constantly, I was told. The investigation went on for a year, a full year, and resulted in the Warren Commission Report.

I'm currently traveling around Europe, and people have no clue who Charlie Kirk was. A few of them will say "oh, I saw that on my international feed, but I don't know who he was". Others say to me " Just another shooting in the USA, right? You have so many". So whatever you want to believe, go ahead and believe it, but it's not even comparable.

Since John F Kennedy who was the president held a more powerful position in his lifetime than Charlie Kirk that’s why I believe he will always be talked about more and be better known historically.

Like nobody alive today was alive at the same time period as George Washington, or Abharam Lincoln but many people still know who they were.

No, When JFK was assassinated it was a world shaking event. World markets were de stabilized, world peace was threatened. The funeral was a protracted ceremony thst lasted for over a week, television shows were preempted on all channels to give 24 hour coverage. There was a special grave with an eternal flame that still stands today.

I was 7 years old when Kennedy was assassinated. 62 years later I still remember it vividly. In another 62 years nobody will even know who Kirk is.

Or another way of looking at it, the vast majority of the world knew who Kennedy was when he was alive. I'd be surprised if 1% knew who Kirk was. For that matter, probably most Americans had never heard of him before he got killed. I know I sure as hell didn't. Even today, if not for seeing his name plastered all over this site, I still wouldn't have heard of him.

Bottom line is that Kirk was, and still is, a nobody.

We HAVE the guy that shot Charlie! We still don't know who shot John! It's possible we never will! Because of that, it'll always be a thing, at least until we actually find out. Charlie's might possibly be temporarily forgotten a number of times.
Do you know where you were when Charlie got shot? Pretty much everyone knows where they were when John was shot!! I was in the middle of my 1st grade classes when we were suddenly told that school was done for the day. I had no way to get home because Mr. Fisher wasn't there yet to drive us home on the bus so, I walked! It was only 2 miles.
