I’ll start this by saying I’m an independent who currently hates most politicians. OP is implying (correctly) that a lot of Trump-time policies are targeted against minority/immigrants groups and maybe they missed on this one because it hurts the people they say they are trying to protect. This is the last I’ll say on this one, politics blows and I don’t have time for arguing about it.

Getting rid of people who had no choice just because we’re enough generations removed to remember that none of us are native to this country. In 3 generations, they could feel the same way about immigrants from another country because they’ve also forgotten their roots (understandably). If Trump’s policies on naturalization were applied universally, you realize Melania would be deported? It isn’t immigration alone, say what you will about the reasoning - I’m not here to change your mind on that, just lay facts. I do appreciate your opinion.
