Counterfeit Drugs Are Becoming a Growing Concern in the U. S?

I recently came across an article mentioning that over the past few years, the problem of counterfeit prescription drugs in the U. S. has been rising sharply. Reports from the DEA and CDC show that many fake pills now contain fentanyl, a highly dangerous substance responsible for a growing number of overdose deaths.

Experts say that because the global pharmaceutical supply chain is complex and fragmented, counterfeit medications can easily be produced, disguised, and circulated. It’s really concerning how such drugs can reach people so easily without being detected.

It makes me wonder how can ordinary consumers protect themselves in such an environment? Have you ever worried about the authenticity of the medicine you take?

Except for driving impared, drugs are not a problem except to politicans and law enforcement based on stupid law the politicans passed.

For what it’s worth, the country I got counterfeit drugs in, was China. My asthma medication consisted only of pressured air. 😠

We passed "becoming a concern" about 3 exits back. People have been getting poisoned for years. Thousands of them.

Generic meds are NOT counterfeit meds. Fentanyl in my cold medication is counterfeit and illegal.
