The existence of judges pisses me off. Agree or disagree?

Just the mere mention of their job title sends cringe chills down my spine. No one should be entitled to earn a living that involves standing in judgment of others, and making such enormous decisions that can have such a profound impact on someone’s life. It’s like they’re playing God or something ( not that I actually believe in god). The people who work these jobs seriously agitate me. They think they are WAY more important than they actually are. They seem to carry themselves with this sense of superiority, and like their shit doesn’t stink. When they enter the courtroom, you hear “all rise.” Shit makes me sick to my stomach. I think it’s time we do away with judges. I don’t think they fit in the modern world

Well, they’re not exactly chosen at random, or picked up in a parking lot. How many bad experiences have you had, that you have this negative impression they’re all acting superior and so on? Not all judges are like that at all. Maybe you’re reading too much into it.
I have never heard of anyone getting triggered by the ‘all rise’ part either— I mean it’s a simple way to set the tone and to give a modicum of respect to this judicial officer—it’s not so much a power trip. I mean I don’t take it personally.

Most of the time the judge doesn't make the final decision. The jury does. The judge can set aside the jury's decision but rarely does. The judge does have the power to adjust the sentence, and set bail, but the actual decision on whether or not the defendant is guilty or not is generally on the jury.

Right, instead we should just extract violent revenge when we are wronged. There is a name for places where that happens -- failed states. They are ruled by warlords, and no one has anything except the warlords and their minions.

Who is going to solve disputes between or among litigious parties? I think there should be more of them and they should have shorter appointed terms.
