What is with these car insurance companies, why is staff so rude?

I'm trying to cancel and it's such a problem. I sent them an email with proof of new insurance, I don't know if the email is still active cause they don't respond, so I call to ask if they got it. "SoRrY wErE cLoSeD, cAlL bAcK Monday!" Whenever I call these idiots I get attitude.

That's why i have a whole separate bank account for insurance, gym, shady subscriptions etc. Just change the fucking credit card number. Some places let you change just the cvv

Unless you have a credit card. No. And even then it's kinda a gamble... Unless you have a Capitol One card. I used to have one and they don't even ask you why they just go "OK" and then you hang up

I used to have to deal with car insurance for a small company. We had 3 company cars. I used to purposely be behind in paying our premiums. That way if I was dissatisfied with them I would just go to another company and not pay the first company anymore money. I would call them once to let them know we have a new insurance company and after that just throw any statements that they sent in the wastebasket without even opening them.
