Is it really true that some non blacks view light skinned black people differently from darker black people?

Even black hate on black of different light so... what would make you think a non-black wouldn't? Racism is about it being different whether by a little or a lot, Asians are all Asians but they again have incredible racism among themselves.
In a twist though I've never heard white hate on someone for being too white, it could've happened just never heard of it.

Maybe some do. But some blacks also view light skinned black people differently from darker black people.
I don't know why some people discriminate against others based on skin color.

I do not know but my girlfriends roommate' s father was very dark skinned and she was lighter like her mother. The father did not want her dating anyone who was darker than she was,.

The only details you are giving me here is skin color. So, sure one has lighter skin than the other. Therefore there is a difference.
