Why are people in NYC so rude?

I worked as a security guard at cosmetic school, scanning temperatures of students coming in. A lot of them would curse me out or insult me under their breath. I remember one time I raised by temperature scanner at this dude's forehead and he just walked past me then STOOD THERE with this mean snobby look, as if he were a complete psychopath- without respect, without the slightest hint of empathy, just absolutely cold.

My former co-worker who is a cool dude is from New York and he went back to live there about 3 weeks ago and I asked him the samething.

He told me he doesn't know.

I personally concluded New York City is a very crowed 8 or 9 million people with high pace.

Such environments like that causes high stress and with so many people packed into one city there's going to be a lot of jerks around.

I think they just hate that your job exists. Not you personally, not being a security officer. Theyre angry that your temperature gun gets to decide if they can pay their bills.

NYC is a great city. Lots of fun and lots of things to do great food and very nice very liberal wonderful people. You must be a CONservative and live in the sticks or in some shithole rural inbred redneck area.

Well you might find him soon enough... The entire city will probably burn soon. Zohran Mamdani appointed first lesbian New York City fire commissioner with zero firefighting experience just like they did out in LA before it burned. NYC also passed a COPA law which allows nonprofits first chance to buy distressed or affordable buildings. So if you can't do the math, ANTIFA will probably burn the city in riots. The fire commissioner will be incompetent and not stop the fires. People will die and/or lose everything in the great fire. Then there will be a lot of distressed property for non profits to have first priority to buy, taking home ownership and apartments away from individuals and putting them into socialist woke organization in a large orchestrated robbery.

I was a security guard at a welcome center nearby. Some rich guy came in and his family. In a high end BMW. He ridiculed me in front of his family. And I ridiculed him back in front of his family. And embarrassed the shit out of him.

I visited NYC on 2008 and expected the worst. I found most people to be helpful and polite.

Never been there but like to visit someday
