Which is the most dangerous hoods in the US?

I was born in Sweden, but since i was a kid, i was a huge fan of hip hop culture and gangsta hoods of America. I know every rapper in America shit man. Please suggest me some hoods to visit, when i visit America in 2026, i will visit the most dangerous hoods.

America is huge. You will likely need to see such places that are close to each other ti save travel time.

Here is a list of the current top murder cities. Each city has its own problem areas. If you drive down there you are taking a risk. Lock your doors and don’t get gas or anything else there. Things can happen fast. Don’t expect much help if in trouble. I have lived near many of these cities and work in them too. I went to a University in what became the number one on this list at one time. I don’t feel scared in these okaces but I am wary. Try not to be an idiot

Been to DC, Baltimore, New Orleans, Phili.,
My nephew graduated from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh…
Didn’t feel much of danger.

@midnightmoon05 I don’t know if the south Bronx would be listed separately than NYC. Not much going on in the upper West side and East side which makes the murder rate lower overall. And Staten Island isn’t the wild west or as bad as Queens.

If he wants to see where M&M lived that would be in Detroit just south of 8 Mile near I-75 I believe. Biggie Smalls would be Brooklyn. Much of the wrap music came from smaller cities around and near LA.

If he wants to get that vibe he would need to go at night, go to clubs, hang out in their parking lots, walk their neighborhoods and as a white guy, he would get robbed since they would think he has money or can get it. His best bet would be to go to strip clubs in those areas that have valet parking and good security. He could get a taste of the life there with some safety baked in. But shit happens there as you know. He better not buy drugs there as fentanyl will kill your ass dead on the spot. He needs to also practice saying no without coming off as disrespectful or weak.

He is so naive that this does not bode well for him. Maybe they have a bus tour :D

Manhattan is pretty gentrified at this point. East Harlem still has some fun blocks to hang around at nighttime. Few neighborhoods Brooklyn still has the charm of being in the hood like East NY and N. E of Bed Stuy.
For sure NY is not dangerous in my l experience.
I have never been to Detroit, not sure if it’s dangerous.

@midnightmoon05 Detroit is bad enough and M&M and others are from there near 8 Mile Road which is the name of one of raps biggest albums, Chicago is bad, this site shows where the shootings are (heyjackass. com), Atlanta in the south west of the city is bad but lots of music made there as “so so def”, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/So_So_Def_Recordings maybe he can get a tour there, Compton still has a reputation out near LA but has settled down some but gangs are every block. Philly is a zoo with drug addicts on Kennington Avenue so lots of drug dealers and West Philly is a mess, he could do an east coast tour on NYC, Newark, Philly, Washington DC, Baltimore but it’s just ridiculous.

I would do an M&M tour in Detroit or better yet out to Compton/Ingelwood/LA area as they were early in rap. “Inglewood. Inglewood, up to no good”.

Atlanta has a lot of rapper owned restaurants. I saw Ludacris at his but it looks like he doesn’t have it anymore. It was empty and we had a private room upstairs. I came out to use the bathroom and we nodded to each other as he sat with some of his boys at a table. He had to have heard us as we were pretty loud. As I came out I could see he was looking like who it was making all that noise. I left and they came out to their cars and I could see they wanted to see what I was driving which was a nice Mercedes sports car. I came out of there fast as I had an audience and a few drinks in me.

Chicago, south Bronx maybe, I would definitely be careful walking around Camden nj, I've heard there's bad spots in south California but everytime I meet someone from there, they end up being some wannabe
