I've been watching a show called Fear Thy Neighbor for the last three hours. It's stories of true/real life feuds between neighbors that turn deadly.

Things got contentious between myself and our next door neighbor when i noticed that they were letting their dogs sh*t in our yard but not cleaning it up. The first time i noticed it, i didn’t have time to react. The second time, i stepped out the door and thanked him for cleaning up after his dog. He didn’t get the hint. The third time, i gloved up, went out and collected the turd. Then i walked over and smeared it all over the door handles to his house and car, and dropped the shitty glove on his stoop. Next time i saw him, i made sure he saw me smiling and waving. 😂😂😂
That’s the only street neighbor dispute i’ve had. I used to live in apartments though. There was a lot of banging on walls, floors and ceilings in an apartment building. I gave as good as i got. 😂😂😂

Two of the episodes I watched was a dispute about dogs. Same as you. Wouldn't pick up after them, one couple had a big dog that they let run loose and some of the neighbors were afraid because he would bark at them and show aggression, although the dog owner said it wasn't true. The dog ended up getting shot, so the neighbor that owned the dog shot and killed the neighbor that killed his dog, plus the neighbors wife and son! It is scary AF watching shows like that. As far as apartment living, yeah, for two years I lived below a single mother that had a two and four year old. It was pure hell! I didn't say too much because she did constantly apologize and she was a decent person.

Big mistake. If you have to shoot the dog, shoot the owner too. When questioned, the owner attacked you WITH the dog. 100% self defense straight down the line.

No, but two (antisocial) neighbors almost got into a physical altercation. A buddy of mine lives in an apartment complex where one neighbor drunkenly killed another with a knife.

That's scary, damn! The show I was watching also involved neighbors that weren't even directly involved but got caught in the crossfire because they supposedly took the wrong side.

Is this the first time you've seen Fear Thy Neighbor? That is my favorite show! It's terrifying to think how quickly things can turn violent over the dumbest reasons. That's why I have a hard time even looking at my neighbors lol

I started watching it after our interaction and it reminded me that almost all of them started as very good friends before things turned ugly. Moral of the story, don't become friends with your neighbors lol

@Beckybooboo lol My dad never socialized with our neighbors at all! I always have. Growing up, we had enough kids in the neighborhood around my age to have competitive baseball games. We all remained friends our whole lives. I still stay in touch with some.

No but my neighbor used to watch me and tell my mom about the men I was bringing home... I was 18 and living by myself lol

not me no... but among other neighbors yes, and then I kind of got in between... before it got worse

Mine are too. We actually have a neighborhood cook out every fourth of July and chip in for fireworks. We have a good time during trick or treating too.

When we were all younger we had an annual block party. Now all our kids are grown and we are all old and unable to party but we used to have a lot of fun.

Sounds like your kids grew up similar to how I did. A lot of neighborhood kids my age. We had enough kids to spend all summer playing baseball and football in the fall.
