Why do you think some people choose not to vote, and how could that change?

The reason why I didn't vote is because I didn't agree with either candidate. While Trump comes the closes to my religious beliefs, he's still way off in some important areas of them. Enough that I wasn't sure that I would vote for him or not. So time just ran out on me. The other person was extremely off!

People feel that their vote does not count and that unseen hands behind the scenes are controlling everything. I think they were right until Trump came along. This is why everybody fears and hates him so much.

I don't think people need to be afraid of him. No US president can do anything by himself. It is that way for a reason. The US government has checks and balances. I was listening to youtuber talk about how he has a friend that got to be in the white house during Obama's time in office. That friend was told, "We couldn't make all the changes we wanted, we weren't allowed." And I believe that is true of Trump as well. He's limited, and when things happen, it is because other people in the government are on board with it too.

There are a lot of people who feel disenfranchised and feel like they really have no stake in government. As a result they do not bother to vote. Many do not vote as a protest against both candidates. And many do not vote because they care more about who is the next American Idol than they do President of the United States.
