Cause we know men are men and women are the opposite gender of men but women is WOmen, so what exactly does the WO stand for or who's idea was it to put men in the gender that was used to represent the opposite of the masculine gender 😂

In old English mann meant a person
Werman meant a male person (same loglc as werewolf)
Wifman or wyfman meant a female.

The f was dropped to make wimann, this is still the normal pronunciation for many English dialects. Because Werman and wimann sound similar they split into man and woman
