Do we really need a midterm election?

Republicans will likely pick up more seats in the election and the left wing will be shocked because the media convinced them public opinion was otherwise... They'll beat their chest and riot thinking they are something special and go to war with the federal government... that is until they're in the storm... What that line shows, if you kind of hover your mouse over it, is at the present time he's got a 36% approval rating. Compare that to his approval rating at the beginning of the year or the beginning of last year, and you're going to see what's going on with his popularity. In this particular case, popularity is probably roughly synonymous to vote probability.

It is the result of having Senators serving 6 year terms and congressmen serving two year terms. I suppose that it is good that everyone in government has to be elected at the same time but having two year elections cycles is a huge distraction. Term limits would help this.

Because we cannot just do away with voting because someone popular is in power. If he truly is as popular as the polls say, then the ballots should reflect that. If they are right, then Trump could have an easier time getting what he wants done.
