What’s one thing that you hate when people say it to you?

"Good to go!" In the first place, it sounds quite stupid. 2ndly, we had a bass player sit in with us for one gig because Chris had to take his girlfriend, Chris, to her prom. This new guy CONSTANTLY said, "Good to go!". As far as playing bass, he was pretty good but, he got a bit drunk that night and he was our ride back home. As we were playing out of state, it was at least a 90:00 drive!! So, we're zipping along on the highway about 3:30 a. m. and we're about half way home. Bob's sleeping in the back seat and I'm riding shotgun. There's only one other car on the road and it's ahead of us but, for some reason, it keeps gradually getting closer to us!! Are they slowing down? NO!! Mr. Bass Man is speeding up!! He's fallen asleep at the wheel and his foot is gradually flooring the gas pedal!! We're going 80 mph!!! I waited to see if he was actually gonna slow down or try to swerve around the car but he came within a couple feet of hitting them before I told him to wake the fuck up and I think I tried to take the wheel until he got his shit together!! When I shouted, Bob woke up and wanted to know what was going on!! Luckily, Mr. Bass Man stayed awake the rest of the trip and we made it home safely!!

"You don't know how easy you have it." I've heard that from my dad growing up, from friends growing up, from co-workers... People think I don't have any problems. My dad used to say it because we had money growing up and he felt I didn't know what it was like to struggle. Just him saying that caused problems for me. It's like he was saying I didn't do enough.
