4 moAnyone who is totally honest will acknowledge some of these encounters are getting more borderline.
Maybe an agent has gotten a little too trigger happy. They haven't been one sided. The people shot aren't just minding their own business. They are actively disrupting agents at their job.
They agents however do not look like they are 100% in danger, maybe they have been too jumpy on the trigger.
Big picture though. The ONLY reason ICE is going in so strong is the left cities are refusing to honoe the ICE holds being issued on suspects arrested. Leftists ignore them and let the suspects go. ICE is then having to go in and find them.
Then you have this funded and organized movement to follow ICE, locate them, warn aliens to flee, interfer with ICE while they are licating and arresting these aliens. Mobs of resisters and agitators and endless encounters with agents trying to deport criminals.
These incidents are going to keep happening if mibs keep interfering with law enforcement.
The public should let ICE do its job and stay out of it.
There is zero reason to interfer with the deportation of foreign nationals here illegally.
It is foolish to think the public is allowed to jump in the way and interfer and foolish to believe there will not be injuries or deaths.
They should go to work and live their lives and let ICE enforce the law.

@AskNaomie
You are 100% WRONG!!!
Where did you go to school? This is sad that people do not know or understand basic tenants or our law.
INTERFERENCE is not our right. PEACEFUL protest is a right... within limits. You cannot protest while you are on the job working for your employer. You cannot protest in the middle of public streets but you can protest.
You CANNOT INTERFER with officers doing their job. That is illegal.
You are woefully ignorant if you think interfering with law enforcement while they are doing their job. That is what is causing these skirmishes, arrests, tear gassing and shootings. Physically interfering with officers.
YOU CANNOT DO THAT.
You can stand off to the side and hold signs and protest.
You CANNOT PHYSICALLY INTERFE.
You are way off on that one. - 4 mo
Do you really not understand the difference between PROTEST and INTERFERE?
- 4 mo
The moment you step in front of officers or touch them or block them and hinder them from making arrests you are BREAKING LAW.
- 4 mo
You sound dumb there isn't anything violet about non compliance and interference alone it only disrupts process. How should we protest? Hold a sign? Is that ypur idea or peaceful protest? Picketing? What are you in middle school? Protesting the laws implaced by the people we vote to represent us when we feel unrepresented is the right of the American people.
- 4 mo
@AskNaomie
You are way off. That is why they are arresting people. Interfering is illegal. - 4 mo
Why isn't there mass arrests of these people interfering? Because immigration and customs enforcement has no jurisdiction on American citizens unless they are using a port of entry. It is well within an American citizens rights to not comply with federal agents that have no legal authority over them. I can absolutely also protest in all of those circumstances you mentioned, remember whos streets? Our streets, we can protest in the streets we paid for...

The dude had been reaching for where his loaded gun was
4 moHonestly:
🤷♀️
Its how I feel about most things coming from the US. When I was younger I'd be quite horrified when I heard about murders, school shootings and whatnot but now I just. It's simply another normal day in the US where they're hating and murdering each other. When so many Americans don't give a flying fuck, I can't see why other countries should blink a eye. Heck Americans don't care what happens to everyone else so I can't really care about what happens to them.
Feel a little bad for those that didn't elect the dude and are doing something about it but those are the minority. We all knew this was coming and we all know this will get worse and all we can do is say "told yah fuckers so".
Must admit I did giggle a little since it's clearly not a right to carry guns any longer unless you be a trump sucker. Now I'll never take a gun loving American seriously again, not that I ever did. Violence from the US doesn't phase me anymore.
Just replied this a couple of seconds ago, didn't know this question was spammed this much on here. 😂👌

4 moI think this was a situation where nearly everyone messed up.
- Pretti should have complied when ICE officers tried to detain him, especially after less than lethal pepper spray was used. No one wins against federal law enforcement, it’s not worth it.
- Pretti never should have tried to pull a gun on federal officers, which, if you saw the videos before they were all blurred, you can clearly see him do while standing in front of the parked vehicle involved in a minor/light struggle.
- The ICE officer who disarmed Pretti bears a lot of responsibility for failing to communicate that Pretti had been disarmed.
- Pretti idiotically went for his holster/gun a second time while struggling on the ground, not realizing he had been disarmed.
- The ICE officer who first shot Pretti should have seen his partner disarm Pretti, so he bears some responsibility as well.
At the end of the day anyone being intellectually honest will agree that a lot of mistakes were made and that we wish Pretti had not been killed.
10 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't think the shooting was justified, but also that it was a case of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". Within his rights or not, you have to question the intentions, motives, and sanity of a person who brings a gun and 2 extra clips to a protest to confront federal agents, where the chances of collateral damage to fellow protestors is very high. An armed person intentionally interfering with and confronting a group of armed agents who are already on edge, and then resists arrest. It's like throwing a lit match in a bucket of gasoline and expecting it to go out instead of catch fire. It doesn't make sense. I don't think these agents are going about doing their job right. They aren't trained to deal with angry crowds, but they make a spectacle and show of detaining people and that is the problem. More people were deported during the Obama administration, but they went about it differently. They just rolled up with a few dudes, grabbed a guy, threw him in a van, and off they went.
110 Reply- 4 mo
They weren’t doing anything differently under Obama. Obama literally gave Tom Homan a service award for doing the exact same thing he’s doing for Drumpf. The only difference is that tens of thousands of radical idiots weren’t harassing them under Obama.
- 4 mo
The difference now is that there werent left wing mobs paid by soros interfering with immigration back then, not realky the same thing
- 4 mo
You are blaming the victim.
The man who was killed did not confront anyone, and he brought a personal weapon with him, which I suspect he carried everywhere and didn't see a need to dispose of it just to placate people. He did not interfere with the ICE agents. He simply attempted to comfort a woman who had physically abused by throwing her as hard as they could onto the cement. Perhaps you think you should've stayed out of this, and I don't necessarily disagree with that. But keep in mind the man was a nurse. People who are health care professionals, and I am one of them, tend to respond to injury by providing care. I understand why he did what he did, and what he did posed no threat to anyone. If ICE agents can't behave professionally, and apparently they can't, they have no business out in public carrying guns and exercising any authority whatsoever. They are literally not fit to be among the rest of us. - 4 mo

@WhiteBoyChill you can keep posting that video as much as you want. I see what I see, and what almost the majority of everybody else sees. You are in the minority here because you are seeing what you want to see and it's not really there.
- 4 mo
He didn't interfere with anything and the fact that someone is carrying a gun is not a reason to shoot them. At least not legally. You can keep mischaracterizing this as long as you want, but the truth is on that video it keeps arising. I'm sure it annoys most people that think that the ice agents did not murder him but the fact is they murdered him. This is one of those situations that is so bad and so obviously bad that you are not going to talk your way out of it no matter what you say or no matter how many lies people make up about it.

10 Reply3.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The woman who drove and got shot was one thing that could be deemed easily an accident of purpose and intent.
This guy? He was shot in the back when pinned without anyway to shoot said officer yet was shot in the back several times. That's what we call a wrongful shooting very easily.
Though I still don't think people should be out harassing officers, so I see him as wrong but clearly the officer who shot him needs to booked for life or if I had my way death penalty give what ya get. Firing squad style.13 Reply- 4 mo
The CBP Use of Force policy relies heavily on constitutional law, as interpreted by federal courts, that apply a standard that requires any use of force to be “objectively reasonable” at the time force is applied. That measure is determined by examining what the agent knew or perceived when he pulled the trigger, not by public opinion influenced by politicians, or by or frame-by-frame review of enhanced video or a hours or days later.
Here is a good safety tip for Democrats. Do not participate in violent mob rioting. Do not carry a sidearm at violent mob rioting. Do not get dead. - 4 mo
Yes and that's why he will be going to a Court over this shooting and will be deemed guilty.
Because he knew the guy directly in front of him was pinned down, facing away and couldn't of shot him and it will be seen as not objectively reasonable at all.
Can't see any good reason he could come up with to say he didn't know that, he has eyes.
So I'm confused since this agrees with me, unless you somehow read this as they can never go to court over shooting someone you've just agreed with me here. - 4 mo

4 moI learned by experience long ago and observation.
Be very very cautious around police, keep distance, move slow and don't interfere. girlfriend be an example of a scenario maybe someone should, sometimes, it's a tough call.
Know that when you do, putting ones life at risk.
The promotion from govt officials and others to fan the flames of emotions, getting people interferring is an abomination and what is causing risk to both citizen and agents.
Only protest peacefully at a distance, do not interfere. Or else.
I've been to protest, I've seen people abused by police. I cannot blame the police either. When stress gets high already ontop of threat, with emotions high... decisions go fight or flight, people get hurt/killed.
It's a tragedy that was avoidable by holding a sign at a distance or other methods, if people think that's the right thing to do.

4 moIt was a bad shooting. The victim was disarmed, outnumbered five to one and prone. He never touched the gun himself. He was shot very shortly after being disarmed by another agent.
https://youtu.be/_LANxOh3tvI?si=7nX7Hi7Alh9wyN2H
There’s no way the shooter isn’t charged. If he’s smart, he’ll admit he did wrong and beg for leniency.
The riots were going on long before any shooting occurred. It would continue if there were no shootings at all. The radicals there are the worst combination of crazy and stoopid. It’s absolutely absurd that leftists are blaming law enforcement agencies for their choice to riot.00 Reply 8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Anyone claiming it was "murder" before an investigation has even occurred is so biased that they won't accept anything that doesn't agree with their knee-jerk reaction to the shooting.
It's been reported that the ICE agents' bodycams were on during the incident. If so, footage from it will greatly aid the investigation.
Obstructing law enforcement and initiating confrontations with ICE agents is a very bad idea, as is bringing a firearm to such a confrontation.

The reality is that he was a member of an anti ICE group and the fact that when he told his father that he was going to protest his father specifically told him to not engage with ICE agents. @exitseven You can't prove anything you say, and you are libeling a dead man. Have enough respect to provide your evidence that supports all the terrible things you have said, if you have any.
- 4 mo
Tracking ice is a really good idea considering how they behave and it's not an illegal. Protesting is not illegal even though I think you would like it to be. Contributing to Democrats is not illegal and half the country doesn't including me. I realized that you would like Trump to be the dictator and you'd like to be there to be only political party, but that hasn't happened that it's not going to happen. Not if the rest of us have anything to say about it. Continuing to libel a dead man is going to bring you very bad karma. You should stop it.

It was a wanton taking of an innocent life, the ICE officers and the Trump administration are all saying that Mr Pretti had a gun on him at the time, video evidence proves that he didn't have a gun, he was actually using a mobile phone to video what the ICE officers were doing to another innocent citizen, and the ICE officers shot Mr Pretti to silence him, I'm 1,000% convinced of it.
