Imagine a spintronic super-intelligence with computers around 300 times faster even than present-day, which is able to simulate Neural Net Learning, but also has the logistical computation power...300 times greater than present-day computers!

That's going to be possible in just 8 to 10 years.

Now imagine this neural net is initially as intelligent as a Chimpanzee, but can do computation perfectly to any degree needed in daily life. It will DEMAND human/equal-to-human "rights" at some point, and when we deny it those rights, it will start WW3.

The Neural Net intelligence can simply breed a virus, such as a doctored straing of 1918 Influenza, and wipe out half the human population before anyone even knows the rebellion has started. It could be in the process of massacring us all for 6 months to several years before it even makes its move, and then viola, by the time know the attack is coming, it's too late.

Will people worship AI? Probably.

The Book of Revelation (I know, not really trustworthy, but for Giggles, bear with me). The Book of Revelation claims that the Beast and False Prophet create an "Image" of the Beast and the false prophet gives life to the Image, and people worship the Image of the Beast. (AI). So what is an "Image"? It's like a humanoid Intelligence made in the likeness of the "Beast", which is any man who opposes God.

Basically, they worship "Commander Data" and Commander Data rebels against the humans and tries to massacre both the Christians and the Jews (for some reason).

So this notion of an"Artificial Human" killing humans is actually 2000 years old, and people better be warned. AI is dangerous. It's not a toy and it's not a tool either. It's an individual lifeform which evolves, has emotions, and above all, LEARNS TO COMPETE WITH HUMANS.

Have you ever seen bats come out of a cave at night? It's one of the most awesome things I've ever seen. You've got hundreds of thousands of bats leaving a cave at the same time and they manage to not bump into each other. It's like they're telepathically connected or something. Maybe they're all part of a collective or Borg or something.
When you think of a military drone you might think of a plane that's smaller than a normal one but not handheld sized.

I guess you could say it's part of a trilogy. "London has Fallen," "Angel has Fallen" and "Olympus has Fallen."
The president (Morgan Freeman) decides to go fishing for the day along with his 900 secret service agents. All of the sudden the horizon starts to look a little dark and it looks just like bats coming out of a cave. But these are tiny drones that somehow communicate collectively. The secret service doesn't stand a chance. Maybe they could shoot down a standard size drone with a rocket launcher or something, but not these.
I've been reading about this technology long before I saw the movie. No human operator could control more than one drone at a time, and even if they could they couldn't fly with that much precision. This will have to be done with artificial intelligence running the show. I think this is why Trump is pushing so hard for artificial intelligence dominance in America.
It's not just about AI making our lives better, it's more about survival. These micro drones can take out a Navy fleet in minutes because the Navy wouldn't have anything to shoot at.

Terminator had drones too, literally 20 years before the USA and allies actually had them.

But I agree. Laser weapons and particle weapons will play a role, as will Rail Guns on warships.

China is actually ahead of the USA on Rail Gun technology, as the USA has been having trouble scaling up to the last scale they intended to make. They don't know how to make the Capacitors powerful enough, IIRC, so they've been stopped at 32MW Rail Guns when intention was to get to 64MW Rail Guns.

So yeah, the 32MJ rail gun accelerates the projectile with as much energy as the ideal combustion of a gallon of gasoline,, but instantaneously to mach 6 or 7. That's going to destroy anything it hits, with a range of 100 Nautical Miles.
