Can Drumpf possibly flip California democrats by overriding Newsom & Bass to get the homes of wildfire victims rebuilt?

Only since NYC literally elected a radical socialist can we finally say that LA isn’t the most radically and ignorantly leftist area in the US. They’re still a very close second. That said, the people who lost their homes in the wildfires definitely want their homes rebuilt. However, Bass and Newsom have done next to nothing for those property owners after over a year.
If Drumpf takes over and gets those people’s houses rebuilt, do you think any of them would reconsider how they vote?

First of all, Mamdani is apparently far better than Newsom, according to sane leftists like Shoe0nHead. He is admittedly a leftist, but He might at least try doing something that makes at least limited sense. Unless He subjects Himself to the same nonsense the Demo (n) crat mainstream is subjected to. As of now, I don't think New York City has gotten worse than under all those mainstream Demo (n) crat mayors before.

As for the restoration of the burned-down houses in California, I don't think it would give MAGA the majority in California. Those rich people might turn to MAGA, but the majority of voters in California are "working-class", but overdosed on borderline communist propaganda. Trump could cure cancer and they would still hate Him. Also, since Trump is not a socialist/communist, I don't think He would do something like this. It would reek of socialism to fund the restoration of private houses from government money. Unless He sets up a charity fund and uses His own money to do that... Which He might approve of.

It’s not an entitlement program. All Drumpf is doing is fast tracking permits and streamlining construction. He’s not funding it.

Mamdani has only been in office a month. He’d have to set off a nuke to lay waste to NYC in that amount of time. His head of housing has already said she’s planning to take people’s property from them. Plus he announced his plan to levy extra taxes against the wealthiest citizens and businesses. Mamdani is a radical nutjob who surrounded himself with radical nutjobs.
Their entire platform is built on feelings. It’s not going to work.

@chazmatazz269 I am inclined to agree with You on Mamdani and whether His idea work, but I still believe He is just unaware of how economics work, not pure evil. He might base His ideas on feelings, but they are at least honest feelings... Or so it seems so far.

On my side of the world, it seems a lot of big companies are leaving California and going to Texas plus major oil refineries are closing. I might just be seeing biased media however.

I am curious as to what Americans think of that and Californians in particular. Does this hurt a potential Newsom presidential run?

It doesn’t hurt his campaign for president at all. He wouldn’t be burning those financial bridges if he wasn’t already aligned with other financial interests that will back his candidacy. Also, he already rigged voting districts in California to turn back blue the dozen counties that recently went red. Thereby giving multiple other states license to do the same. The upcoming elections will be much closer, but not because democrats are expected to offer better candidates this time. They’re just getting increasingly better at playing dirty politics.

That was what I was wondering about most. Presumably he can already bank California but couldn't what he is doing swing swing states against him? If gas goes up a lot in Nevada and Arizona?
