Officer down, should we be upset?

Sheriff’s Office Deputy Derrick Bonham lost his life today responding to a shots fired call. Tragedy occurred in Tennessee when a woman fired the first shot. Won't show up in the smut media circus of USA because it's just not traumatizing enough to create clicks = $. It's plenty awful for him and his family. It is a scary job being in uniform and any moment could claim ones life.

Contrast this to computer programmer, therapist, lawyer and other jobs where you generally get to live and not be threatened. Does that reality help you think differently about how people should behave around law enforcement personnel.

It's only been a month and all these officers have suffered in the line of duty. Citizens have a responsibility... and that word is not taught very well in our schools... to guard the life of others whom put their lives on the line every day.

That's sad. But the media can't publicize all of the thousands of deaths in this country.
I didn't know the guy or know anything about him. I don't give special emotional priority to cops, soldiers or celebrities.
I have more sympathy for the children who are gleefully murdered every single day by Israeli psychopaths. Our media doesn't talk about them, either.

For sure the press should be opened up and the childrens stories told. That would make prime news. It's one of several human tragedies of our times future generations can all frown upon.
It's just a realization of what is "news" and what controls the minds and reactions of so many.

I am always concerned when any person loses their life like this. Not being said police sign up and are trained knowing the risks and the rewards of this position. It is a very, very dangerous position, just like being a soldier or a firefighter is a dangerous position. It is terribly unfortunate that this happened, and I'm sorry for both the gentleman involved and his family. That being said, even here in Los Angeles where I live, we have law enforcement and firemen that occasionally lose their lives or are seriously injured because of the difficulties with their jobs. There's not much we can do to make us better, unfortunately.

Now days you have to define "law enforcement" clearly. Is it the local, county or state officer who most always is trying his best to keep us safe or are we attempting to also add the murdering, bar thugs from Texas posing as ICE officers led by a 54 yr old cunt from South Dakota who I doubt knows the meaning of law enforcement.

Talking to a guy i served with now a police officer. Says they stopped responding to any crimes that happen in black areas after all that BLM stuff. Says its just not worth it anymore, you end up on social media accused of racism and police brutality trying to arrest suspects that are resisting. You get doxed and hounded by the media and the police department and city Council stabb you in the back. You might even end up in prision.

Better just to turn your radio off and let them sort ig out themselves.

The five US cities that take the cake for gun violence are all blue zones, three of which are in solid blue states. If we could kick those cities out of the US, the country would drop from first to eighty-third for gun violence among developed countries.

My brother is a police Sgt in an area that defended the police 6 years ago. They just turn the radio off when shots are fired. 3 more yeats until he gets his pension and he can move out of that Hell hole
