Higher in the sense that I don’t compromise on respect, honesty, and effort, the basics that really matter.

I’m not picky about small stuff or perfection, just about how someone shows up consistently. That’s where standards matter most.

It’s less about being “better” and more about not settling for half measures.

It's more like priorities, my standards are higher when it comes to some things, much lower about others. Lots of people slave over their cars, my truck is full of mud and dirt. On the job I'm very exact, equipment I drive is greased, checked out the cab clean my work is more conscientious.
