Girls: Would you date a guy who works in McDonalds?

Right now I work at McDonalds. I had some financial issues a few months ago and I needed a job ASAP which is why I applied there. It's easy and quick to get a job there.

Now, the thing is, I immediately think girls would not want to date me because I work there. I think they will laugh at me when I tell them where I work. I feel like I have to find another job before I start dating because girls would be too embarrassed to date a guy who works in McDonalds.

What do you think?

As long as your not there for the rest of your life who cares...your making your own money I'm sure as long as your doing that then there shouldn't be much of a problem. Plus, you stated you were having financial issues...well instead of becoming a criminal and robbing a bank...you made the effort to go out and look for a temporary job just to help yourself out in your current situation. So it shows your independent, hardworking and driven to suceed in anyway that you can in supporting yourself..which could also mean you would be willing to put forth the same effort for your significant other.

I'm a college student obviously I don't have a real amazing job or own my own business and what not. I've worked at a dry cleaners, burger king, bakery and anywhere else where I can get a job.

The only reason I could see a girl being embarrassed that you work at mcdonalds is if 1. she doesn't eat at mcdonalds EVER or 2. she thinks you support the disbursement of fastfood and that it is killing the population of people world wide due to life threatning diseases. 3. Her and ronald mcdonald have some issues to workout ETC.

I think if you date a girl that cares where your working at your current age in life then she better be the one supporting herself, have a great amazing job and ...well basically put up or shut up lol.

Not at all :) As long as you work hard and pay your way in life it really doesn't matter to me what job a guy has. I don't care if together we had all the money in the world or hardly anything. Please don't feel ashamed, feel proud that you're earning an honest living and if any girl can't see that then she's probably not worth your time.

Plus, I'm rather partial to a mcdonalds :)

I agree with dIO_oIb but also I don't really care about status and all that shizz since the person I like/d currently works there, but some girls who are shallow will care but they are simply not worth your time. Never feel ashamed and like you have to change just because you work there.

For a guy 18-24? That's actually about right, be glad you *have* a job. Especially if it is part time and you are still in school.

For an older guy, you would have to be at least manager if not a franchise owner.

Girls are shallow and expect to be taken care of independent or not.

Any job paying less than 15 will not do it for a girl.

i used to work at mcdonald's and I considered dating 2 of my co-workers. if he's really cute and got a cool personality I wouldn't care. it might be a little off putting and embarassing (I was embarrassed when I worked there too) but do what you gotta do. the girls who turn you down will just be missing out. you don't sound like you'll be working there forever so if the girl can't see that then f*** it

Ridiculous, of course I would date you. Your job is honest work and you aren't doing anything shameful. If I were you, I'd keep the job and tell many about it, just so I can weed out the snobs and gold diggers.

All these answers sound good. Stand up for yourself don't be embarrassed you are not robbing a bank instead your work hard to be independent lol but none of you would actually go out with this guy. A lot of girls maybe don't care too much that he works at McDonald's but they care that he can't take her out to eat or concerts or going on vacation buy a car support a family... etc

I would date a guy that works at McDonalds. Hell, I know it's hard to find a job these days, and at least you have some sense of responsibility by even HAVING a job. I've dated more than one unemployed guy, so McDonalds would be an upgrade!

I have a wife who has worked nothing but McDonald's for 12 years. Let me tell you that I am the hero in this story. Enough said I hope.
