Only for Wall Street, not Main street. No Job = Losing House and car. Remember this , Holiday jobs hiring was the worse in decades , so these layoffs are not little Timmy being hired to be one of Santa's little Elfs at the Mall.. Layoffs are only one measure.

If the economy is so bad like all the TDS people claim, then why are companies practically begging for employees? Why are wages so high? Why are traditional minimum wage jobs paying almost double minimum wage? Why are inflation rates continuing to go down?

I have been through many economic cycles in my life, and this is NOT a bad economy.

This is the AI calamity that we knew was coming from the 80s, it will only get worse. This is why it was so important to stop American jobs going to Mexico or china and bringing back as many jobs as possible. Those numbers are not good. But we have to remember that January layoffs are usually high because of temporary holiday workers. This year, the layoffs are compounded by AI making some jobs unnecessary, and with companies investing billions in AI, they're going to emphasize AI over people. The remaining losses are due to questionable economics... by government and by companies.
