Is there anything to do where you live Friday night?

up till a couple years ago my hometown used to have a movie theatre , bowling alley and sports bar with pool tables but there all gone now. well sports bar still there but they pulled the pool tables so its pretty lame.

a couple other smaller bars disappeared years ago when they brought in a smoking ban indoors and one was destroyed in a fire when building above it burnt down , there is still a small pub downtown and a couple chain restaurants although they don't really do much

some of the younger people have there own little parties but there mostly for really young people who aren't even old enough to get into a bar.

sometimes there is some festivals or events downtown but there only like 1 night of the year and usually during the summer , but even some of those were cancelled , there used to be a large vintage car show but they stopped doing that , also used to be a street festival in July it always be on a Friday and was like crazy busy but never did another one after 2019 the year before covid.

Tons to do around here. It is a university town.

most college towns are busy on Friday , parties , bars etc , nobody has class Saturday so time to party

Yep, exactly. It’s a huge school too, so never a shortage of stuff going on.

also people so drink at home or smoke pot/do drugs and say they is nothing to do here

also a lot of people interested in tattoo's , maybe they have nothing else to do? but is a couple tattoo spots and seem to keep noticing new ( tattoo's ) around more often

Sounds like boredom. I couldn’t stand that. I like to socialize. Will be heading out in a bit for dinner and party later.

is more going on here during the summer , winter can be insanely slow , i went out for a couple hours but it was so bad i came home and decided to not worry about tonight

there are plenty of bars and restaurants where I live. Also a new movie theater and a couple of entertainment centers.

years ago was a by law that no one else was allowed to build a movie theatre here so only had 1 smaller older one downtown , so a newer larger one was never built , then the older one closed down around covid 2020 and been none since

the weather was also bad here which made it worse , i was out for a bit restaurants really slow , gym full of annoying dudes so i went home
