Are kids allowed to be depressed?

The poor kids don't have luxury of being depressed, got too much work to do to survive. They can't spent their energy on crying if their stomach is burning due to hunger and they are counting cents on their little palms to buy their next meal a week later.

Rick kids are constantly reminded of how privileged they are to be depressed, and that people out there have it worse. And if they are 'allowed' to be depressed, the world hates them because who likes rich kids? Most people equate rich with spoiled.

World would rather see crying kids than silent ones because it failed to make them smile.

Thank you for advocating for our youths mental health ❤️‍🩹 I wish I can give you a hug❤️ I read this post while feeling your energy of despair, disappointment, and frustration with society. I don’t think the world thinks this way about kids, but I am sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. Its definitely not universal, but relative for those who aren’t very aware or educated on the youth adversities.
Everyone is allow to feel how they feel no matter what age. Kids are the most innocent and vulnerable … I watched a reel on Instagram the other day how a 4-years-old shared that he feels unloved and dislike by his parents and it breaks my heart… everyone has feelings… and more than often at an early age, kids are in their developmental stages to learn and have sensories.
Some people are born with privilege, but it doesn’t take away their own challenges they faced in life, family dynamics, judgements, and etc. Those who paint other people problems are bigger than an individual is ignorant and holds unhealthy/unrealistic perception. We all have our own struggles that weights heavy in different forms, conscious and unconscious biases, and so forth. It’s just part of life, we’re all going through the waves and trying to make the best out of it. Overall, it is important to process our emotions on our own and with people we can trust.

Why couldn't they be? It's a natural response to children getting abused. However it's not allowed to make them depressed. It's the parent's responsibility to keep their emotions valid and discuss.

What if that rich kid was SAed near a religious establishment and had no friends to say to and wasn't able to say their parents because they knew they would be blamed and that basically twisted their view on God and to make it worse their family is extremely religious? What if the whole society is breathing down the throat of the rich kid because they are expected to carry on their parents' legacy? What if the rich kid actually hates being a rich kid because they would be hated either ways- if they succeed it was because of their privilege, if they fail then they are just kids with rich parents who will save the kid? What if the rich kid is never ever ever credited for their creativity? What if the rich kid was crying due to grief after losing her grandpa and best friend within a term of 30 days but everyone just told her to suck it up because she still has it better than others?

They have privilege, they are safe. But is it their fault that they are privileged? Why does the society just treat them like self-entitled brats when they have not even met the world? Free housing and food is every kid's right, just because many kids don't have access to that, thanks to corruption, will we start judging kids who have their rights?

I agree some rich kids are brat, and get away with so much but will you judge all rich kids on that basis? They are obnoxious from the moment they are born no matter what to do.
