For example 15$, buying medicine is around HALF of the price paid for SAME medicine sold in other modernized countries!

Insurance does cost money, but insurance companies compete with each other , to attract customers, to choose them instead of other insurance companies.

Anyone who says socialized Healthcare is efficient never tried watching someone get sick anywhere it exists.

It's so slow that they'll just tell you to go to a private doctor or wait a few years for a scan and prey there's no tumor cause if there is, it's metastatic by the time they even consider bringing you in. Then wait several days overnight only for it to close until Monday morning and find that they never even logged in your name.

There's no place in the world which comes close to the United States in healthcare and Anyone who suggests otherwise is delusional and at the end of the day, they'll still get their treatment in the United States, no matter where they come from, the second they need treatment.

Other countries pay for treatment and get nothing, here we pay for treatment and get it. Besides, it's not like anyone is gonna refuse to treat you if you can't pay immediately, they'll give you a payment plan. Focus on getting better

Also, the best socialized healthcare is Canada, and there, the average wait time for a CT scan is 66 days compared to 30 minutes in the US.

Given pancreatic cancer doubles in size in 144 to 159 days, it's pretty clear that sick people in socialized healthcare countries have a lot less time to live.

And don't get started on how if you dare miss it for any reason, you can restart the waiting process while your tumors grow even larger and turn metastatic.

In other words, you have zero second and zero minutes to wait for a scan, much less the 5 months you'll end up waiting when the doctor who gets paid the same no matter what has no incentive not to make himself a sandwhich instead of scanning you.

Pancreatic cancer median survival time is cut from 6-18 months in stage 3 to 2-6 months in stage 4.

Do the math, you miss an appointment, your doctor gets lazy cause he's paid the same no matter what and since the government makes more by not treating people, good luck getting him fired, just how big is that tumor once you do get scanned?

And how many times are you gonna get stood up by lazy doctors before they finally use their vastly inferior healthcare resources to make you comfortable for your last couple weeks of suffering?

I live in France and pay a small fortune in taxes so that health care is supposedly free


I tore my ACL last November and haven’t gotten operated yet and already spent a fortune on top of the health care coverage for all the consultations and physical therapy to get back in shape just for a reconstruction surgery


It’s only free in public institutions so you gotta wait many months for an appointment which 9/10 times you can’t do because you need medical attention immediately
So you go into private clinics which are legally allowed to overcharge and that extra charge isn’t covered by any healthcare.
So now you’re already poorer from all the taxes you pay and on top of that you have to cover your own medical bills
It’s an absolute joke.

That might be the case, but the insurance industry and healthcare industry can be a racket. Same for car insurance. Everything goes up, we end up paying out the nose, and the consumers eventually get the short end of the stick. You can get denied for anything if the insurance company doesn’t want to pay up.
