My guess: nothing. Maybe Israel will approach it differently, but the US left to its own devices would back out and let the current regime “elect” Khameini’s successor. They haven’t ruled for nearly half a century because they’re willing to just lie down and die when one figurehead is removed.
I kinda feel like Islam is in its “crusades” age. Muslims are ready, willing and able to fight anyone and everyone to prove their god has the biggest dick. They’re not going to stop until theirs is the dominant religion on the planet or enough people rise up to stop them.
