What is the worst feeling in the world?

Realizing the reason my parents didn't spend time with me when I was little is because they didn't think I'd make it due to my Cystic Fibrosis

Now I'm 26 with the life understanding of a child and I have new longevity, yet not one single prospect, skill or anything.

Hope is almost certainly lost for me to make it on my own, but I'll try. They always provided for me but my father is just annoyed by even my presence and my mom never taught me life skills or anything, not even social etiquette.

Now all they do is scold me and act ashamed that I'm their son, then wonder why I haven't eaten dinner with them in 16 years. And every time they invite me to a family dinner, I never sit with my father.

It hurts that my own parents resigned themselves to my early death and then even when I now have a life expectancy similar to that of a disease free person, my own dad is ashamed of me.

So much time i spent blaming myself on here for all my trouble, but all along, my parents failed me by choice and let me miss out on everything from a first kiss to a career.

If I ever have kids, I'll spend as much time with them as I can. No parent should give up on their kids. My mom still loves me but has accepted how things are.

At least I don't feel nearly as bad, now, for how much ass ache I put them through when I was little with my behavior

From my own life there were two.

One was the feeling of having pyramid shaped metal plugs wired into my skull that electrocuted me as I was driving home. I know that sounds massively weird, but its the best way I can describe the sensation of burning my body and mind to the ground by working to hard for to long. It was an emotional pain on top of it to and the only moment in my life I wondered if suicide was a better option. Thankfully my rational side quickly answered no to that one. The feeling lasted hours and then went away.

The other one was having to deal with a broken heart on top of the aftermath of the first one. That one was completely unbearable and its hard to know which one of those two was worse.

But I am sure there are creative torture techniques that are worse than those two, so while its the worst I personally experienced its probably not the worst feeling in the world.

Fear for safety is the worst. I would say, sickness is the second worst. One time an angry and unleashed dog was aggressively barking at me when I was trying to cross the road. That scared me because a dog attack could put your life at risk.

Loss of a loved one. Either through death or a breakup. Haven't decided which one is worse in my life.

Life is fear and boredom. Fear that at any moment the Earth could open up and swallow you whole; boredom because it almost never does.

The loss of someone you love the passing of them and you know you will never see them again
