What are your thoughts on Trump’s war with Iran right now?

The president of the United States has no fucking idea what he’s doing. He started a war during an election year that was already looking bad for his party and is now looking terrible. He doesn’t know why he started his war on Iran. He doesn’t know how he’s going to end it, or what ending the war will even look like. The new leader of Iran knows that all he has to do is sit back and keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, and the pressure of oil prices on the world’s economy will cause Donald Trump to make one of his “deals” to end a war that he should have never started and will be seen in the eyes of the world as having lost.

Iran is in the driver’s seat in this war. Bad for U. S. Bad for Trump. Bad for Republicans in midterm elections. Terrible for families in U. S. and Iran and around the Gulf that have lost sons and daughters and husbands and wives and mothers and fathers. A stupid war started by a stupid man for stupid reasons not even he can figure out.

This war will go down in history. So will the man who started it, as the biggest loser of this century.

Why is this military action called a War? Congress is the only one who can declare war and that hasn't been done since World War II, after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, 85 years ago.

Truman's involvement in Korea was a military conflict, Kennedy/Johnson's involvement in Vietnam was an armed conflict, and Obama's attacks in Libya was a military action.

Israel and the US are working together to ensure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons and intercontinental missiles. So far, that has worked.

A good indication is just how reluctant other countries are willing to help. Any military their sending is to protect their own interests not to support Trump. That tells you a lot about how the world views the legality of the war.

Add on top it's been predicted we'll lose 100,000 jobs in the UK as a result of the war on top of the thousands we lost due to tariffs. Let's not forget that Trump has deeply insulted the countries he's now begging for help, including those who died fighting for America in Afghanistan. We don't want to help just so you can shit on us more.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe since NATO is a defensive alliance and if a country starts a war, they can't invoke Article 5.
Since the USA started the War in Iran they can’t invoke Article 5.

This also means other NATO countries aren’t required to help the USA.

Donald Trump shouldn’t be asking other NATO countries for help since the USA started the war in Iran.

Other NATO countries don’t have to follow Donald Trump’s orders since Donald Trump went against Article 5.
NATO was created to help out allies countries who are under attack.
Currently the USA is not under attack.
It is Iran.

I have complete confidence that the situation will work out perfectly fine.

The reason for attack Iran is that Iran is a chronically destabilizing force in the Middle East that has caused unbelievable levels of suffering for untold millions of people and cost everyone a lot of money. Eliminating the Iranian regime benefits the US and the world by eliminating one cause of the elevated oil prices and the forever wars that we've all come to despise.

Rest assured that this is not a pointless war at all.

Now... whatever else can be said about Trump, I think it's pretty obvious that Trump wouldn't do something that doesn't benefit Donald Trump. Jeopardizing the conservative position in an election year CLEARLY does not benefit Donald Trump.

I don't know what all political calculus the Trump Administration has done about this, but I do know that the Iranian war will have the net impact of lower oil prices across the world.

I only focus on what I can do what I should do, what next.

My opinion is it ends with nuclear bombs going off. A "justifiable" usage would be sneaking into some of those underground missile silos, production facilities... and planting some bombs that eradicate the area. Think Trump could justify that right now?

My opinion is the world will come out of this much different than went into it and it will be better to some extent and unfortunately worse. He's torn up the world order, new one will form, with less security. That means new hazards. Add to it massive debt. Be glad to be alive today, consider the less fortunate, no guarantee on tomorrow.

Ultimately, I suspect he coerces "Islam" allies to go into Iran and finish them off, if not by much larger bombs.

Trump like everything else miscalculated . He thought he could bully Iran into submission and they can't be. Islam is more important than anything else to them.. They have been sanction for more than 10 years , didn't work. Now attacked , won't work. This war won't be over until Trump just leaves and declares himself the winner , which will make Israel use nuclear weapons.

Everyone in the administration seems to have a different opinion on why they are at war with Iran. Trump says the US has won and an hour later Hegseth says they're just beginning. Clearly this is very disorganized to say the least.
