The pilot was probably the nicest guy in the world, but he couldn’t fly for shit. His flight instructors begged Atlas not to hire him. His own parents begged Atlas not to hire him. But Atlas threw merit out the window, and only wanted to hire women and people of color. They wanted to look politically correct for the world.

if you do DEI in the sense that you look at numbers by race and you want to make them the same for every race, that's actually the same process as "gleichschaltung", which is a sort of forced and coordinated societal synchronization that went on under Fascist Hitler. It's absolutely terrible and it shouldn't be done. equal chances for everyone! yes that's good. not forced equal outcomes. That's litterally a big part of what fascism is. so that's why i'm so shocked that a lot of "antifa" people are actually for that.

There's 2 different "equalities". Equality of opportunity and equality of outcome. Equality of opportunity means everything has the chances to do what they want. equality of outcome disregards what people actually wants. it forces numbers to be the same. if you have a society where individuals differ, you'll have inequal outcomes. inequal outomes are by no means inherently bad. they are a healthy symptom of differing groups of people having different preferences.

@strawberryapple Not only Commercial pilots my friend. I flew with a completely incompetent private pilot, when I worked at Fluor Engineering. Going to Chino Airport from Long Beach. Taking off on runway 19 (190 degrees) and going to Chino we should have been flying about a heading of 90 degrees or close to that. We were flying over Torrance Airport, and I asked him where the hell he was going, and he pointed to the compass (that had never been set)

We were flying in the exact opposite direction that we should have been, and this moron had no idea!!!

I fucked up by not reporting him to FAA to be called in and taken on a check ride by an FAA examiner. He could have gotten us all killed flying into LAX controlled airspace.

Someone issued this half-wit a pilots license.
