Only a handful of lunatics deny the moon landing. There have been these weirdos since it first happened. In a country of 350 million people there are always some fringe lunatics on every side of an issue. The fact that we have that is a good thing because it shows that we are free to believe as we wish, something you can't say about a good percentage of the population of the rest of the world.

I was a teen at summer camp in the wilderness in 1969 when Americans first landed on the moon. The counselors called us out from our cabins to gather around the flagpole and announced to us that America had just landed the first human being in history on the moon. I will never forget that day.

That was 57 years ago, and TO THIS DAY, no other country but America has ever landed a single person on the moon. And America since then has had TWELVE people walking on the moon. And America did it with computers that are only a tiny fraction of the power of the one in your cell phone and technologies that are primitive compared to the technologies of today. Think about that.

Some people deny the moon landings because they don't understand the science behind it. People that don't understand how things work see a conspiracy on every corner.

They don't understand basics physics so they say the moon landing was a hoax.

They don't understand basic virology , the scientific method, and how basic statistics work so they say that the covid 19 vaccine was a hoax.

They don't understand how gravity and planet formation work - nor do they understand the various experiments that have been conducted since antiquity that show our planet is a near - sphere -so they say that the Earth is flat.

They don't understand that what they see on social media is often unfiltered and unverified so they take what passes for science on Facebook and Instagram etc at face value - and lord knows that social media is a breading ground for all kinds of conspiracy theories.

I know that there is a video where Buzz clocks some asshole who kept harassing him about the moon landing being fake and was trying to get Buzz to swear on a Bible that the landing was real. The guy forgot that he was talking to a man who not only had the gumption to go to the moon -and I don't think people realize how insanely dangerous that is - press that wrong button , make the wrong calculation, get distracted for a few seconds - and you die. That job was not for the yellow-bellied. Also , he was a decorated Air Force pilot. Calling him a liar like that was an insult and Buzz just lost his patience ( the guy had been harassing him for some time) and socked him good.

They had technology to land on the moon then, but they don't now.
A 2028 misson plans to land on the south pole so people don't see, there's no US flag or Neil Armstrong's footprint up there.

Also, now that I think about it, he didn't sound very excited for someone who just landed on the moon for the first time.
    Moon landing my ass!

Ah it's not disrespectful to the American public to lie to them for so many years.

I like what Joe Rogan said, "If it was obviously true, there wouldn't need to be thousands of articles trying to prove it."

"It is not possible to see the American flags left on the Moon with any, even the largest, Earth-based telescopes."

      'Cuz they're not there

Yes but it's also disrespectful to say vietnam was a mistake...

It may or may not be true. Probably is, but sure seems a stretch given we can barely get people to the space station.

naw i think it's just the natural consequences, when you started litterally doubting everything and lost any concept of actually verifying what is true and what isn't. i don't see it as a personal insult to them.

John F. Kennedy is the first U. S. president to set a specific and national goal of landing a human on the Moon and he advocated for that goal through public speeches

I think they'll get over it. They were testing the limits of human capabilities before we were even a gleam in our daddie's eyes. Why would they give 2 💩's what some dingleberry that the world doesn't know, or will ever remember believes.
