History really does repeat itself. At least Trump is smart enough to not allow embedded reporters in the war theater.

Now I turn on the news on it's the same thing. They demand to know what the next days’ war plan is. “Is Trump going to bomb the power plants? And if not, “why didn't he do it?” “Why does he keep changing his mind?” “Why won't he tell us what's going on so we can tell the enemy?”

Trump tells the enemy to comply or he’ll destroy their country. Then when it doesn't happen, the left-wing media is upset he didn’t do what they didn’t want him to do! You can’t make this shit up!

Stormin Nomin was in charge of things in Iraq, but Powell was the one who convinced Bush to WAIT until everything was in place first - it took several months. Bush wanted to go, but he listened to Powell and waited. Stormin Norman did his job and did it well, but Powell was the one who gave him time to do it right. Trump needed Powell and needed to listen to him.

Yes, I was sad to hear that. We need more like him. I read his autobiography. It's very well written and gives a lot of incite to events from the 50s to the 90s.

Powell had a lot of respect for the first Bush because Bush listened and trusted the experts to know their job.
