Pride. Ego….. many people will know they’re wrong and continue to double down as if people are stupid. Even when they KNOW they are wrong and they KNOW everyone else knows it

yes, it's life or death. when we are "cast out of the tribe", we will be eaten by lions. So we are more safe in the tribe, even if wrong.
