Why do some people never see that they’re wrong?

My mom called me daughter of a bitch because I was giving her advice about how she needs to work because my dad is struggling and they need to have savings for when they get old. She kept going on and on in the car and refused to eat until my dad corrected me for saying that. But she cursed at me and left me alone in the street with 8 suitcases and didn’t apologize and is never wrong. How she kept calling me disrespectful over and over again was crazy.

... Don't worry; you were RIGHT, and I'm totally on your side. It's just that you can't say stuff like that out loud. Not in "traditional" families. You're not allowed to correct your parents or give them advice.
(My family is the same way, so I know how it is.)

So she left you in the street with 8 suitcases? Yeah that’s messed up. I mean, if I were you I would avoid talking with her on serious matters. Sounds like she can’t handle it. I would work with your dad to figure out what you can do to help him. If she is acting this childish she doesn’t deserve much in the way of being treated like a functioning adult.

I talked to my dad about telling her about working again he told me that he is going to talk to her about it. I thought that that was the only way

She won’t listen to him. My parents were like that. She basically began starting arguments for no reason after that. Nit picking everything he did she didn’t like. I hope your situation turned out better. My dad died ending up being unhappy. Terrible situation
