I have a low opinion of them.

It's one thing to be wrong or to have uninformed opinions. Nobody know everything. And the more you know, the more you realize how much you don't know.
But when someone is obviously lacking information and, moreover, unwilling to consider additional information, they are not worth wasting my time.

I know people with advanced degrees who are ignorant of many issues. But, because of their advanced degrees, they think they are smart, and their egos won't allow them to admit that they don't know everything.

Genuinely smart people are curious, ask questions, and seek information from many sources. They formulate opinions based on what they know, and revise or change their opinions as more information becomes available.

I either ghost them or I try to change topics if they refuse to budge and demand agreement. I know somebody like that - they have a lot of incorrect views and refuse to consider they might be wrong. I just pretend to agree and try to avoid discussing those topics around them.
